Are these needle free approaches that Scancell potentially looking to use the definitely same ones that Notts university are working on, hence the secrecy? Because isn't there a method already out there commercially that Scancell could also use? Although if that was the case guess there would be no need for secrecy.

To reiterate EmptyEnd's point though, how big a deal is this mysterious needle free approach(es) do we think? By that I mean it's sounds like it could be a huge market in it's own right? Can it only be use for DNA based vaccines? I assume whoever owns the patent could potentially sitting on a gold mine if they can licence it out.

Maybe that explains the BBC article retweet?

Agree, not the usual source of retweeting by Scancell, a very mainstream source in this instance, normally it's scientific people/press or investing people/press.

Also is this the first tweet by Scancell inferring about their needle-less technology?

Like you say RW sounds like they are hinting that this mysterious delivery method may be ready to be revealed.

Agree c11, my comment was somewhat of a flippant one, but the sooner that there is vaccine that can potentially deal with variants effectively, the better, both for the world and us investors.

So $100b market cap, and assume 10's of billions in the kitty, and we know that they are now in the business of (and frankly big enough) to do large acquisitions themselves.

Purely IMO, with all the connections between Biontech and Scancell and Biontechs new found wealth I would not be remotely surprised to see some kind of tie up for one of the platforms.

And coincidentally or not, Professor Durrant now being at the top of tree in her organisation in the same way as Sagin Ugur has some symmetry, with that layer (i.e. Holloway) now gone just makes me wonder.

That's interesting, I'm sure some of those job titles were advertised before but closed in July some time. Are they doubling up on certain roles, or are they trying again for the same roles I wonder?

Looking at LinkedIn we know there were several new starters in July, can't remember for which exact roles though.

Often search on Google for "Scancell" for the last 24 hours, something I've never seen before is Scancells Twitter page and recent posts been displayed on the search, a bit like a bigger companies (e.g.biontech for example would) or a famous celebrity.

Lochinvar Lass mentioned a lot more activity/likes retweets than normal on Scancells Twitter just in the last few days, so something has definitely changed. Coinciding with Professor Durrant's CEO move and/or the announcement of the Covid trial perhaps.

I'm with dragon101, when was the last time we heard 'first patient dosed' uttered from Scancell. A significant moment IMO.

Just to add if they have recruited a new communications manager it could be them that is this mysterious new spokesperson?

With all the recruitment of late I would not be surprised if they have a new communications manager that we are not aware of.

I would not be surprised if we also saw a new Sky news report soon.
