Just to add, you'd think Redmile would have been kept well up to date with the testing of the BioNTech vaccine, and how it was progressing? Or would that information have been privvy to BionTech only?

I would go as far to say that Covid is still a huge opportunity for Scancell, the vaccine race is IMO a marathon not a sprint. IMO I feel this is where the company (and redmile) is focussing on most at present, hence the recruitment/cobra deal etc, and probably explians Redmiles extra investment(?).
Let's not forget we have seen delays with Sanofi, the Australian vaccine and to a lesser extent Astra/Oxford.

Following up to my previous post RE how quiet it is from SCLP themselves atm, would i be right in saying we've not had any actual progress news RE covidity since the very first anouncement? Apart the cobra biologics announcement, every general update since (e.g. AGM) has been a regurgitation of the same status, right?
We did find out ourselves about the recruitment drive for new scientific staff, which did indicate a lot must be happening, but again nothing official?
I'm not saying the quiet is neccesarily a bad thing, as IMO this does imply something, possibly quite major is happening in the background, But again IMO, some kind of details about progress would be nice.

Purely IMO, I think a lot has been made about the two years date marker, I think we will have changes far far sooner than that, I personally think redmile will be lining up a similar deal(s) mentioned (e.g Evox Therapeutics).

I say that because IMO redmile are in Scancell for one reason and one rerason only, and that is to make a (big) return on thir investment, and nothing else. Not only that but relatively quickly too.

They will want to make their money here and use it to help on to their next investments...rinse and repeat. I don't they are remotely sentimental or particularly emotionally invested in any of their investments. They see Scancell as a cash cow, and I think that is good for us private investors. IMO what us private investors need is a buyout/partnerhip/licensing deals.

I like the fact that Redmile appear to be (IMO) a somewhat cut-throat American hedge/investment fund.
