Can I ask you to expand on this please, do you mean it's going to take a (long) time still from this point onwards? If so why do you think this is the case? Scancell and Notts Uni have been working on this since April 2020, the manufacturing agreement is in place with Cobra, it's based on existing platform. How much more time do you think it will take?Just interested in your thoughts/reasoning.
Oxford/Biontech were able to get a vaccine out for use in under a year, obviously the big pharma partnering was a big factor but would assume a lot of the ground work/research was done in house(?). Why would a second gen vaccine neccesarily take much longer? Being a second gen has the benefits of learning lessons from the first gen which should speed up things no?
