Also didn't Professor Pulom Patel say vaccines for viruses were a lot simpler to develop than cancer vaccines too? Their experience in the cancer vaccine field gives them a huge edge IMO.

IMO there are big similarities with BioNtech here, who used using their existing tech to switch to making a virus vaccine. BioNtech 2.0 almost?

Even though the US market is closed today I'm sure they can still trade on the UK market through their brokers today. But they need their coffee and bagels first I assume.

This "...when the US market opens" thing gets spouted a lot of various boards, however I think this may(?) actually be true in Scancell's case because of the media coverage, and from the Google trends map that was highlighted over the weekend. IMO.

Interesting perhaps, as well as followers increasing, who Scancell is following also is (up from 100 to 108), and...now Scancell are also following GSK and Johnson & Johnson. As i mentioned previously the only big pharma they were following previously (i think) was Gilead. Wearing my conspiracy hat I think they read my post and it's to distract attention away from Gilead :)

But Scancell's Twitter seems to have taken on a whole new life over this weekend either way.

I think even my local phama(cy) would have heard of Scancell after this weekend.

Purely IMO, i think they may have Pharma partner(s) lined up already, or a pharma in mind, and this is a pre-publicity blitz to get the word out/get people used to the idea of a universal vaccine/Nottingham. Both Scancell and Redmile would have all the relevant contacts at big pharma in their black books for a long time, in particular Redmile.

Yep, i remember when you posted this originally, you might have been on to something there now looking back!

Some other observations:
1) "Universal" vaccine - No longer being referred to as 2nd gen vaccine? Whoever came up with that is a genius!
2) Seem to be hiding references to "Scancell" - We saw that in the most recent Sky news report, however Scancell were smart enough to put the logo on the machine and the dispenser. Why is this? Contractual? An embargo? You could argue Notts uni is much more well known, as is the city of Nottigham around the globe, and so perhaps is much more easily recogonisable than a relatively unknow bio (well, until this weekend) and it's just simpler to refer to it as the Nottigham Vaccine, much like the Oxford vaccine? Both this point and point no.1 seem to hint at a re-branding?
3. Scancell Twitter and followers - Don't think SCLP have ever posted as much, or had so much interest.

But it does seem a concerted publiicity effort as others have said, the timing of the articles in different outlets, the wording changes etc. All IMO.

A very good point Cleanerworld, but could that happen quickly enough? What is the process/timespan?

Although long term holders probably are anyway, but as Hasiba pointed out yesterday..."Hold for gold", I'm sure it's going to be volatile next few days, but (IMO) the serious moves will happen when the trial is officially announced and news of the partner arrives which sounds like a few weeks away. And that's just the potential upcoming Covidity news, what other news could arrive later in the next 8-10 weeks?

IMO traders will be here in force (Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee etc) in the next few days spouting nonsense, and as pointed out lots of new posters will no doubt too, so as already mentioned thanks all LTH for everything so far.
