A blast of Arctic air is set to bring freezing conditions to the UK after a somewhat mild start to the year.
Expect overnight frosts and the possibility of rain showers turning snowy in some parts. Temperatures are predicted to reach freezing overnight for much of the country and could plunge as low as minus 5C in rural areas of Scotland tomorrow.
Met Office forecaster John West told Metro.co.uk: ‘Today will be reasonable mild, mainly cloudy in the south and dry while the north west of Scotland could see some wet weather.
