I would like a higher price. It will attract more interest for Vemelho (not that it doesn't make money at a lower price, but economics start to get 'compelling' at a higher price). I think all shareholders will want Vermelho progressing ideally sooner, than later. Agreed unimportant for now for Araguaia. I also think nickel fundamentals will affect JV terms/sale price on Vermelho.

I was fishing to see if there was a big buyer about.... looks like they only play on Monday mornings.

it's odd, normally when it ticks up you think they want some shares to fill something but the volume is low. maybe somebody sold before me (not that I'm selling any)!

I think it's kind of a damned if you do damned if you don't scenario. I'm sure there were rumblings of having things sorted or material news before elections so if it is close but no cigar, probably better to put out a holding RNS (which might flutter a few) but keep your mainstay investors confident than to have silence which might imply things are more awry than they really are. I'm relaxed on timescales, it takes a while to negotiate transformative finance and deals for the company then so be it. All things moving in the right direction on the EV front, plenty of very supportive newsflow all the time on uptake etc.

And they are (I believe) the biggest miner in the world by mcap. Bodes well. Wonder if they fancy an aquisition(s).

There is definitely a 'migration pattern' among AIM shares - like the buy/sell you spotted Horizonte/ARS. Good luck to them if they make money, no problem with it at all. You just don't want to miss the key news on a share you are invested in if you do that. Easy to do, they can announce when you least expect it (EUA did when it suspended).

I'm not a chunky PI (well, maybe a tad overweight - both girth and Horizonte shares) as all my investment is here plus I have a caravan and may also purchase a canoe. GLA

Reality is now the shareprice is high enough that you have to add a lot to be 'declarable'. My 23m would set you back £1.5m and be only halfway to 3% so you need to spend £3m before you declare (if buying from 0). Interesting stuff though whether PI or II when the big buys arrived on EUA eventually the shareprice started moving north. There's a lot of 'private' wealth about I don't know if you call that PI or II but chunky investors. They all had to come out of the woodwork on EUA when the sale was declared as suddenly the threshold to declare holdings dropped to 1%.

Yes I read it very much so - in case investors were anxious about news in October, we're on track but not ready to announce yet. It is probably good form to announce a holding RNS if you've previously stated expected timescales and you're maybe slightly behind on them. I read it as a positive (modest position here).

offtakes hopefully and mine finance on ACP. So not dissimilar situation to Horizonte really and I don't think they need a placing pre finance - and mine build is quicker there (1yr vs 2yrs Horizonte and costs less) so for the patient investor hopefully returns from production earlier there than here.

But hard to look past Horizonte for a winner IMO and the more I'm tempted to dabble elsewhere the more common sense tells me this is the place to be.

yes good when it works out notready1. A couple of months ago I did the opposite, halved my ACP and added HZM - not because I don't like it just because I'm trying hard to get to a magic 10m shares of Horizonte in the ISA(s) and the price is running away from me. Obviously it gets harder and harder to add HZM ISA shares in quantity as the price increases, and I have so few other investments sitting already in the ISA (some ACP and some PERE) I made a small switch there.

Long term goals to run 6m Horizonte in SIPP and 10m in the ISA indefinitely unless company gets sold then decide what to do with the other 7m odd depending on what kind of valuation we sit at around Araguaia production.

Still think decision will be made for us here on Horizonte just not sure when. Could be early next year.

Got the book thanks. It seems the nautical equivalent of 'portfolio size' is 'feet'. I will perhaps start with a canoe and work up from there. I read that Rafa Nadal has a nice boat albeit one without sails. Now I just need a megadeal on Horizonte buy out to purchase one Abramovich size. GLA

haha true. It has more bathrooms than my house. That's a 2019 caravan vs a 1960s house for you! 4g poor though but views are good. Slow day again but nickel holding recent gains well and consolidating. Onwards and upwards BOD silence is golden IMO :)

One thing I can't fathom is how US elections are going to rock things here. If you were planning to complete a multi year financing deal I would pick 'not around the time of the most controversial US presidential election' as my favourite month to do it. I dunno if it can help us in terms of weak dollar (presumably that's what we want) but it's not like the £ is going to be looking super strong either for equity financing. I can't see finance complete pre US elections now, but maybe some news before then (would be nice?)

agree with most of the article except the 'not all in' bit. I'm selling my house and if it completes quickly and Horizonte still sub 10p I know where my money is going! I think that qualifies as 'betting the house'. If it goes Pete Tong I'll ask dj to put me up in one of his lets and blame him for bad advice. He promised us 20p this year :)
