notready fair points. I accept as well and others have said - having some PIs owning a lot of shares in a company like Horizonte does present some risk because if they sell for whatever reason, it could tank the share. But here I think that has been done much more by the IIs ironically, some by choice, some by necessity like City Financial.
One thing I learnt and this is genuinely a learning thing for me when DJ collected the holdings informations is that a collection of people on a BB, lets call it 20-30 investors including friends/family, have a stake here comparable or above that of Teck. That told me two things I didn't know about AIM:
- relatively few people come to opportunities like Horizonte early and hold long. Why? Because if you were trying to build a stake now its much more expensive. I get that AIM is a great place to buy and sell and trade the swings, company news, and there are many years in the lifetime of a co like Horizonte but actually to do what Craig did and buy that % of the company when really the SP was on its a**e, and hold for years - its not done by that many. And that creates opportunity.
- secondly people are prepared to hold a share like Horizonte as a major % of their portfolio. Assuming we aren't all multi multi millionaires (I'm certainly not), then there are many here who will have a decent, at least 30%+ of their portfolio in this share. I do find that useful validation of my own theory that this is underpriced but of course, we could all be collectively wrong so it is important to re-evaluate and be sure in one's own investment.
wrt exits, I'm going to try to wait long enough that the decision is made for me (company sold) or up to a point where PI's selling is no longer of concern to people here because liquidity is much bigger. It would be pretty own goal to sell down and tank the SP anyway with own holdings being sold.
I've reversed significant life decisions because I believe in this company. I was prepared to sell 20-25% of my holding, and keep my business, to buy my next house. But I think this is that good it is better to sell the business to buy a house, and wait with Horizonte. Unless it gets sold for us, the real value is 2023-25 I know I keep banging on about it but I'm convinced of that.
I think if we do manage to setup a meeting with the mgt it should become a lot clearer where they see all the pieces going longer term. At the moment understandably they can't talk about it. I do wish everyone on this board a good outcome and success with their investments, whether they are in HZM or a.n.other stock, we are all here for the same thing. GLA
