9.25p dividend £146m cash, lots of orders, but share price keeps sinking. They aren't thinking of buying Mouchel are they?

I don't understand this company - massive losses (Cumulative retained earnings -negative £19m) - no wind but £2m dividend. Two quotes from the report published today. Can anyone explain how it works? "As flagged in our interim results, wind speeds during the year were unusually low. This resulted in a reduction in Group revenue of close to £2m compared to a year with average wind levels. Group revenue was £9.8m (2010: £6.2m) with EBITDA before exceptional costs of nil (2010: loss of £0.9m). Pre-tax losses after exceptional costs were £3.0m (2010: £3.5m)." "In view of the strength of asset-building opportunities available to the Directors, they propose to pay a final dividend of 1.5p per ordinary share (2010: 1.5p) in respect of the past year. .......Your Board has begun a review of options for value distribution to ensure that shareholders receive a return reflecting the company's success."

No one is saying bet the farm on this but a few £s on tradefair, with a stop loss at 5p might pay off.

Bouncing about but now in the black. This might be the case of the early bird catches the worm. A bid from one of those companies who had a look recently would be impossible for the board to reject almost at any price and certainly at 50 - 70p.

"The Board is encouraged that the banks have been supportive." I suppose there is first time for everything! Seriously though all the reports I get are that Mouchel is a respected operation in the field. They have an order book of £1.4bn and if the cost saving measures really have happened should still be profitable (just) and cash generating. The necessary board changes have been completed quickly, though new boards do tend to make sure all the possible downsides are clearly shown. The market cap of £14m does really seem too low - though I have been wrong before.

Shouldn't we be hearing something from the other directors soon? Would be interesting to know what the ex Intelligent Environment directors think. Are they brave enough to say what they really think?

Don't get hung up on large share trades. Those apparent buys of 3,058,500 both at the same price are probably the recording of a transfer from one fund to another or a husband to his wife or pension fund.

Pre tax profit up 23%, interim div up 8%, Cash up to £149m. Higher margin business model delivering

$6.5m profit - Just shows this company is more than just one hole in the ground!

This shows that IDOX is not solely dependent on local authority business. Am sure this has held the share price down -even though judging by their results, their products seem to be in demand as councils try to become more efficient.

Like for like up by 1.9% in 4th quarter. (-0.6% for the year) so getting better. But more important total sales up 11% for Q4 - (9.3% for year) and Margin up 120 points for the year. Now have 103 stores - potential is 200. Dunelm is still motoring - the share price was 550p last December - should be back there soon

I think EVOKEV is just upset that his company, Monitise, who thought his boyfriend VISA loved only him suddenly went and married Fundamo. Sure Visa said he would mind the odd evening with Moni mnow and again - he would even pay for the meal and hotel room, just in case Moni had a few new tricks to show Visa. If you had put £5,000 into Monitise on 16 May, it would now be worth £6,306. If you had put it into Parseq it would be £7,424.

Except that whilst Montitise share holders can expect at least a further £15m loss when their annual results come out in August, Parseq are likely to at least double their profits. Vipera hasn't crossed my radar until now so can't comment on their situation. Fascinating that Parseq had 24 rivals for the O2 contract. This would suggest that some consolidation is likely to occur soon in this field. The hope over on the Monitise board is that Visa (they own 14% of Monitise) will buy them out, but they have already bought Fundamo an established South African based operator and to me Monitise looks a very expensive source of easily obtainable software.

Yes, your figures certainly explain the market capitalisation of the 3 companies (not): Parseq.......£26m Monitise.....£220m Vipera.........£30m This software seems to have been developed by a lot of organisations simultaneously. Parseq share holders seem to have developed theirs from within their existing resources including their profits (repeat profits) on existing business. They are winning contacts from such as O2, presumably, if all the various software works equally, on price. As an ex Intelligent Environment share holder just not quite sure what Documetrics brought to the party!!!

From the trading statement: "Total revenues for the half year on a proforma basis are expected to increase by 56%, compared to the corresponding period last year, to £12 million. The revenue growth has been achieved by the contribution from the customer management business acquired in August 2010 and by a 44% increase in revenues from the Intelligent Environments mobile and online banking software business. Group profits for the six month period are expected to double from the £0.5 million achieved in H1 2010. "Software The growth in the Software division has been driven by strong demand from our existing clients as well as the success of our mobile banking product, Mobinetic. Moreover, we are seeing increased client demand for our digital banking platform, Net Finance, which incorporates both web and mobile channels. In the half we have won three new customers for Net Finance and added O2 as a major strategic customer for our Mobinetic product. We have invested extensively in both our products in terms of additional functionality and support for a variety of mobile handsets. We have also substantially increased our sales and marketing initiatives to ensure that we are well placed to take advantage of the significant opportunities opening up in both the digital banking and mobile banking markets. This has led to a number of new partnerships with global banking software businesses in the first half which should support further new sales going forward." The old Intelligent Environments bit is developing well. This bit should be valued like Monitise which loses £millions. Statement ends: Outlook The board now anticipates that Group profits for the full year ending 31 December 2011 will be below both market expectations and 2010 due to the ongoing softness in the back office outsourcing activities within its Services business. However, the Software business is expected to continue trading in line with or slightly ahead of expectations, particularly in light of the strong pipeline of new business, the quality of the global partners and the explosive growth in the mobile banking market." Still a strong buy in my opinion

The "had to sell" brigade seem to have been seen off yesterday and we are moving up again this morning. The manager of the Oryx fund that sold 4,750.000 shares last week at 22p must be kicking him/herself this morning. They have missed out on over £100,000 - good job they kept 10m shares! IDOX is now by far the biggest holding in our Investment Club - we should sell some but even after the latest rise I don't know a better prospect for capital growth, and now a reasonable income as well.
