What does everyone have in mind for an exit price?
In an ideal world, i’d prefer the assets to be sold and special dividend paid for the most part so that way there’s no worry about when to sell.
I’d put this share away about a year ago and now i’m looking in on this thread after reading for a long time before (checking periodically) and hardly posting.
How closer are we to our big pay day? Predictions of £20/share seem to have declined to sub £2 :(
4 months left of the year and we’re already well over 2021 buy back numbers
There will be a good number bought back by 2024 and hopefully beyond….
Yummy
Took a little bit of profit on friday incase we do go South although i feel roseneft stake being lost is mostly priced in - frees up some cash too for bargain basement SMT.
Would be an ideal day for buybacks

Not a fan of fool but it’s nice to see the revenue expectations again :D
It’s just a case of patience in my opinion. Next year should get interesting with all that’s going on.
Long term buy backs are the best option, it really depends what you’re looking for.
Double edged sword really - long term there’s less divi’s to pay but in the short term investors lose out through a reduced dividend.
Thank you Zac - have been and will be continuing to do just that! :)
Thank you Zac - i’m in my 20’s so can’t say i’m displeased!
I am playing it by ear with regards to BP if i’m honest. I’ll see what happens in the first half of next year, as oil slowly drifts back down I fear the share price will follow.
With regards to my work pension fund I do not believe it includes the oil companies anymore reading the email we had “selling” the change to us.
Although i’m not able to find a full read out of the funds holdings. Top 10 full of Microsoft, Apple, facebook and Tesla as expected.
TBH I was reading the mood of the comments on here!
6% of my investing pie
Out performs all my other ETF’s - i’ll continue buying in each month.
Hi
So i decided to put predator away in a draw and come back in a few months
So i’m back after that few months
Things don’t appear to be going well. Ireland still looking promising.
What is happening in Trinidad and Morocco though?
I am just an amateur investor at the end of the day
But with oil pushing some high prices and without full restoration of the dividend, I don’t see any £4 any time soon.
My work pension fund recently switched to an ESG fund. Oil is out. We have like 20,000 members and won’t be the only ones. I like BP as a company but the more we go down this climate route the more pessimistic I get.
FYI I bought my holding of a few k’s at £2.61
Thank you

In this link - are Q3 2021 buybacks the buyback that has just happened or the buybacks that took place after Q2 earnings so therefore took place in Q3.
If that makes sense.
When will the next session of buyback start?
Just talking about cost cutting and how he sees demand for hydrocarbons continuing to be high and there will be a slow transition to renewables.
Most interesting point was that 60% of excess free cash will be used for buybacks in the coming years.

I too have lost money but thats how the stock market works. My average is like 2p.
Not worried though we just need to wait.
