(Alliance News) - Spirent Communications PLC on Friday said it delivered a strong annual performance in 2022, but noted some hesitance among its clients for the first half of 2023.

In 2022, the provider of testing, analytics and security for telecommunications networks said its results were in line with expectations. Revenue is expected to come in at USD607 million, which is a 5.5% rise from USD576.0 million in 2021.

The Crawley, England-based company said it expects adjusted operating profit to come in slightly ahead of market consensus. According to estimates compiled by Spirent, consensus is for USD127 million, within a range of USD122 million to USD131 million. This would be up 7.2% from USD118.5 million in 2021.

However, Spirent noted that global economic conditions have caused some of its customers to delay their investment decisions in the new year.

The Group expects to report full year revenue of c.£206m and Adjusted Operating Profit at the upper end of the previously guided range of £20-22m.

Premier Foods said it remains on track to deliver on expectations for the full year after a strong third-quarter performance. The owner of brand such as Mr Kipling and Bisto reported sales in the 13 weeks to December 31 were up 12% against the prior year. Premier Foods noted a particularly strong performance in Grocery sales, which grew 17% against the previous year.

(Sharecast News) - Homewares retailer Dunelm said it expected annual profits to be above expectations as consumers sought value for money amid the cost of living crisis.

The company on Thursday said second-quarter sales were up 18% year on year, with customers flocking to buy items such as heated indoor airers to mitigate soaring energy costs.

Pre-tax profits are now forecast to be above a current company-compiled consensus average of analysts' expectations of £172m, with a range of £131m-186m.

"We saw growth both in stores and online, with digital sales making up 35% of total sales in the quarter, 2ppts higher than the same period last year. Digital sales growth was particularly strong in the late Autumn and run-up to Christmas," the company said.
