Haven't been investing long..never had a takeover happen until..bus like..3 come along at once..includiing ppix.

Hello All
Would it be possible for someone to throw some light on the IRR/ALL situation.
New to the stock but re the demerger of IRR.
Proactive info says 'Eligible IronRidge shareholders will receive an in-specie distribution of one Ricca share for every eight IronRidge shares held'...
A couple of questions:
What was/is the cut off date for this to happen?
Does it matter?
How do you locate the tiziana telegram ?
Hello All
Haven't bought any COPL stock yet...however
I read an article fairly recently..Zak Mir stating COPL severely undervalued and due a massive retake...due to the Atomic acquisition and the potential bopd coming on stream. A game changer..from explorer to producer ..massive rerate inevitably due etc.
Then I've been watching the SP go nowhere fast and the rumblings of a number of posters indicating frustration at the lack of info...tumbleweed..about whether the oil will start flowing.
There's a shed load of resources but CEO has, for some inknown reason, not stuck the key in the lock?
Or is it presumably far more complicated?
Apologies in advance for the really basic question.
But fairly new to this and attempting to not make errors/buy into 'punts'
Hi there
Any thoughts on what has caused the drop?
...what with results being good and all?
Was looking to buy shares on a pullback but the size of it...thought I'd ask.
Regards
Thanks. Interesting read.
After reading an article that mentioned that Christopher Mills is a backer and wandisco is working in partnership with Amazon,Microsoft,AWS et al....I checked the sp trajectory expecting to have missed the boat...so was shocked to see the exact opposite.
Is there a simple explanation as to why is sp plummeting?
Hello All
I've done a quick google trawl etc.
Checked this board and expected explanation ( or variety of hypotheses)...but no one has commented on why the 50% drop in a company that seemingly was doing great, in bed with Mt Sinai, on track with FDA etc.
This post is in no way meant to annoy. Having been in that position before..it leaves a terrible taste. But this post is an attempt to understand Capital Gains.
Inevitably there are folk who were lucky enough to obtain the reverse outcome..and profit from recent events.
I saw the expansion of the business, ignoring debt, threw caution to the wind and purchased at 48.5 in February in ordinary / non ISA account. Didnt expect recent events...had it as a lth..sticks I'd no intention of touching for years. Pure and utter luck then occurred.
Now I'm thinking of taking profit but am baffled by CGT.
I would be very grateful if someone could throw some light on CGT..(or even point me in the right direction to info on CGT for dumbies).
Is the simplest method to roughly stay within yearly CGT allowance to top slice the profit and use the top slice as an approx running total for the yearly allowance?
Thanks in advance.
Hi..
Information.
.bought an amount via IWeb...
MXC inputted as ticker..received a 'no quote available' message but inputted £ amount in and hit the continue button...received a share price and bought the shares....
Checked my ISA account...Share Price 2.7473..amount taken for purchase but the rest are asterix/blank ...
Called IWeb...received the explanation that it's gone through at share price 2.7473 but they need to catch up over night and I'll be seeing an indicative price tomorrow..
.(good job I'm not day trading this).
The thing is I like how PJ presents..it's what brought me to the POW board. I could fault his ethos. However I then read RRR and everything that's mentioned...from 18p to now, little RNS/comms, debt restructures, hidden debts, loans written off, projects going nowhere, salaries, etc...Disgruntled PIs is one thing but 18 to 0.7 is a reason to be disgruntled.
I read PJ delivered in previous incarnations..GGP etc but RRR failing and a CEO still there failing.
I can see why POW PIs would be confident of PJ/POW achieving aims ...but I can see the opposite situation happening at RRR...and the two situations seem to be chalk and cheese. So just trying to make sense out of it.
Is RRR some kind of legacy company POW got lumbered with or something?
Never posted..and only once elsewhere.. here but ended up watching a POW presentation by Paul Johnson and he mentioned RRR.
PJ seemed to come across as hard working, clear on due diligence, focused on making it work for not only POW but for PIs as well (small or large holders alike).
First project on the POW list. Victoria Gold fields, RRR and owning 49%. So I looked here, went back a couple of pages to get a feel for the board. The feel was I was on the wrong board..I actually thought I was in the wrong company somehow..I checked..nope..right company RRR..and everything I've been read seems to be the antithesis of what the PJ presentation/ POW would want to be involved in...no communicationss, PI share dilutions, debts..hidden debts, debt right offs, CEO salaries as share price tanks.
Can someone make sense of the dichotomy for me? ..PJs presentation compared with what PIs here are saying about ABs historic management of RRR.
Is it that RRR are just 2.8% of POWs investment portfolio and therefore fairly insignificant on the grand scheme of things for POW...some kind of legacy position that POW would like to get rid of but are lumbered with?
Is there a clear answer because I can't make sense of what's going on at the moment.
Never posted anything before but listened to the sharetalk interview with Paul Johnson...his history in investing with MTR ..involvement with GGP etc. Astuteness is one thing but his stated approach..hard working, clear analysis and due diligence, fair pay, intention to make money for PIs (however small the investment). What is not to like about the man.
I then went to the POW site..the you tube AJ Bell presentation. Then the companies...the Victoria Gold Fields is first.
49% chunk of Red Rock Resources.
So I started with the first company...check the RRR board. I honestly thought I was on the wrong company board. The comments that posters are posting about the RRR CEO and how the company has been (historically) run seemed to be the antithesis of everything Paul Johnson and POW stand for...especially the making money for PIs.
Possibly being naive but can someone explain what I'm missing here...If there's such and issue with RRR how come POW is invested?
