Some Highlights below that stood out to me:
Immupharma has been on a tear since the start of September.
But it’s worth considering the background: the team attended the JP Morgan, Biotech Showcase & Bio-Europe Spring Conference healthcare conferences earlier in the year.
We’re after a commercial deal after all.
On 1 Sepetember, Dr Sébastien Goudreau was been promoted to Chief Scientific Officer and Dr Laura Mauran-Ambrosino to Head of Research and Development - at the same time as the patent RNS.
CEO Tim McCarthy noted:
‘As we continue to move forward on the next step of our corporate journey, which is the partnering and commercialisation of our product portfolio, P140 in particular, it is important that our R&D team is at the forefront of our interactions and negotiations with current and future commercial partners.’
Then on 13 October, it seemed that JP Morgan conference paid off, with Ketan Patel (formerly of JP Morgan and EdenTree Investment Management) coming on board as a NED.
Even with appropriate skepticism, this is the kind of development that makes you pay attention.
The unmet need in autoimmune disease is genuine and massive.
The limitations of current therapies are real.
And the logic of ImmuPharma’s approach of precision diagnosis plus targeted normalization rather than broad suppression, is exactly where medicine has been trying to go.
We’re in an era where precision medicine is moving from aspiration to reality, where we’re finally getting the tools to subdivide diseases into meaningful categories and match patients to therapies likely to work for them specifically.
>>For investors and pharma partners, it’s a rare combination of scientific innovation, commercial opportunity, and genuine medical need
