Onwards and forever downwards, albeit at a faster place, with a wanton destruction of shareholder value. A bunch of charlatans are running this Company. Gerald Ratner could do better job. Kick em all out. Scandalous.
Mea culpa. Big girls blouse though??.
Disruptive tech? What could possibly go wrong? Mediocre/incompetent BOD to successfully commercialise the product? Track record of talking the talk (Lynne Rees) but failing to walk the walk ie deliver tangible results. Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity.
Hold a Capital Markets Day and your watch already lamentable share price head even further south as you have nothing of substance to report, just another helping of futures , which may or may not materialise. What an embarrassment Lyn and his fellow Board Members are. A combination of incompetence and mediocrity in depth.
Funduh: You are not the only one. I am afraid it’s a case of ‘Where’s the beef’? In short, there ain’t any. Nothing of any substance has emerged in any RNS for two years or more. Imo the BoD seem to possess little no commercial acumen, seemingly content to reward themselves, and unconcerned by lamentable share price performance. Shameful.
Lyn Rees should head up a Homeopathy Company. He would be in his element forever diluting and delivering nothing of any substance. Obviously there is no mention of adding shareholding value in his list of key objectives, if there was he would have been fired ages ago.
Bakky. Share price performance, or in Yourgene’s case non performance, is a pretty decent measure. On this, and almost every other measurable Lynne Rees and his crew are an abject failure, having delivered very little of substance over a long period of time. A changing of the guard is long overdue.
Stas20 You are pretty well on the money with your comments. RNS after RNS with nothing of any discernible value for investors to grind their teeth on. You can’t buck the market and with little or nothing for investors to grab hold of you are left with the strong impression that the company is being run for the benefit of Rees and his clan.
Until there is a change at the top and a clear out of the like minded the share price will likely remain becalmed.
ASH. Absolutely. With little or no materiality in any announcements the share price will stay marooned. Think turnover vanity, profit sanity. The BoD May as well change the company name to Millwall FC. Nobody loves us and we don’t care. Very frustrating. The Company would appear to have the potential to do well, but not with the current bunch of pointy heads running the show more for their benefit than investors.
Could it be that ‘Pointy Heads’, whether or not they wear white coats are not much good at running a business? Yourgene’s share performance is abysmal, indicating investor confidence in the BOD’s business skills is low.
Certain on here think chucking out childish insults to those who they disagree with constitutes a valid response. Yawn. You are not worth replying to.
Cringsing. Good for you, wish I had. Framework Agreements, Master Supply Agreements, Enabling Agreements, Private Sector Contracts, Govt. Contracts. Yeah ok great, but show us the beef, volumes and profits over a decent period is all the market needs to know, as do we. People on here think they are right and the market is wrong. Err, no. Wake up and smell the coffee, or lack of it in Yourgene’s case.
My decision to invest in Ygen has to go down as one of my worse decisions. All the company ever manages to do is to ride the crest of a trough, before sinking below the waves again. There is a major disconnect on here with posters who are glass full of optimism , which appears to be held afloat by a stream of RNS’s that don’t amount to anything more than a row of uncooked beans. Show us some concrete. The market needs turnover, revenue, profit etc. Until then, dream on.
Twix 10-29. Bang on the money with that post, sadly figuratively speaking only. Is it linked to the nature of the business and a kind of ‘Boffin mentality’. Ie general lack of commercial awareness? Lynne Rees doesn’t come over like that though. Dunno. But let’s not forget these boys and girls have share options so the incentive exists. Thoughts?
Davand,
You won’t see many posts from me as I have little appetite for knockabout stuff or offensive comments. I don’t buy shares on a whim. Of course Ygen has considerable potential but it’s performance to date has been lamentable and the share price reflects that Until the fundamentals change it is a laggard aka dog. And of course I am not twix in disguise.
I will leave the knockabout stuff to others. For anyone who hasn’t clocked it Vie de Chien is the French for a dogs life; which rather neatly sums up Ygen, a dog of a share. Will it ever qualify for Crufts?
My past life was primarily devoted to private sector contracts, thankfully my experience in the public sector was limited,. Honest answer is your guess is as good as mine ,or anyone else outside the magic circle. Hopefully the Govt. has moved on from the need for their procurement people to put together a heaven and earth business case to justify moving away from anything other than the cheapest offer tendered + do Ygen have good relations with Govt.? Who knows.
Been holding YGEN for a while. Share is a perennial underperformed. Reading through the posts, no desire to take sides but it seems to me that twix is at least tuned to the right wavelength. Repeated failures to deliver to expectation and absence of good financials, in particular profit, are large contributors to piddle poor share performance. Everything else is wishful thinking. Get the numbers and financials to match and then the share will perform until then dream on, me included.
