Will you "panic" when £10 hoves in to view? What will be the new valuation of the future implied SP of the new combined business after January? £10 - £20??? I diunno. But will £10 cause some to fret and sell, or cut back their holding thinking ooh that'll never hold? Will you be a cool dude like Cool Hand Luke at £10 - or nervy and on edge? Might find out tomorrow. Damn good chance it might show it's face on Friday at some point.

The terms of the old financing deal were that no divi payments to shareholders were imposed on the board and tied their hands. When they refinanced with better rates, that stipulaion no longer applied and divis were ressurected ahead of schedule. So will just have to wait and see what the terms of the finance houses are. Put yourself in the shoes of the finance houses. You've just agreed £XXX gazillion billions in loans and the customer then tells you he intends giving away some of it free as dividends to his shareholders? Do you say: A) Oh great, you're too kind. or B) Not with my money you don't, mate. or C) Yes you can - but only with what's left after you've paid back what you owe ME, first!

Given Kenny Alexander @ team's proven talents for making acquisitions that had initial "market disaproval' but went on to success is there the tinyest of chances, however remote, in a black Swan kind of contrarian way, that they could somehow make the bricks and mortar outlets "pay" by doing something with them that no one has yet thought of? Or will it be a case of one acquisition too far?

Quite agree - I prefferred ACAL too! True rebranding would be along the lines of "We BuyCompanies" Or WBOPS - We Buy Other People's Success then called it all ACAL. (Is that what the rebranding is; to stop people from dissecting what was bought-in and what is original organic growth? Might sound like I'm complaining, but I'm not. It's been a good performer for me.

South Street - the answer's staring you in the simple finacial measuring data at the top of this forum, and on your broker's page and on any free investment site you care to peruse - The PE is monster high. The company is fully valued for the great results it's delivered. You're all ahead of the game. The share is good, the SP is good. In fact so good you've all bought and bought and pushed the PE ratio to the top end of expectations. Thank goodness ABDP delivered on those. Well done to all holders for choosing a great stock pick. But it's not a cheap buy. It's fully valued, but worth that monstrous PE. You want the SP higher? - And what; drive the PE ratio higher still? It would unnerve some. That's why the SP has "not responded accordingly". Had this on a watchlist for sometime. After it, but will wait for a lower entry (if possible). It's a good share. Don't worry, all good. But no freebies on the back of the current share price. Be happy with your current success.

Will GNK be immune from the: "Profit Warnings Usually Come in Three's" curse? Is this just the first? Now I'm beginning to sound like the CEO - a depressive! How on earth does he motivate and build morale with such a continual downbeat outlook on life? I've always bought into the mantra that CEO's, above all else, are world class salesmen. Never met a 'downbeat' salesman. Perhaps the BOD start each day by seeing it as part of their jobs to cheer the boss up?

Spikey, the last couple of months, or what? This last fortnight makes you wonder about so called tree shakes. Looks like the SP has remounted and is back in the saddle, galloping for Sept 14th Next Thursday and thus I'm expecting over 800p commencing Monday.

Nope, it didn't do it. So I plump for point No:4) for Monday next week :( Hope I'm wrong.

PS. In other words, INMO close (note CLOSE, not an intraday revisit) just fractionally above 323p (say 324p) and that's as damn near good as fully expecting a recovery of the SP next week. A recovery to what ever level remains open to debate, but 324p would end the retrace. So that's what I'm looking for - 324p close (will accept 323p) but 324p less 'iffy' and would seal the deal - INMO Good luck, all holders

Been playing about with some numbers so this post is more a diary entry to myself than anything else. 1) The day's floor appears to have been 312 - 315p Nicely recovering a little at the moment. 2) Won't be surprised to see a close anywhere up to 323p. Absolutely don't see it reaching the 330's but could get back to 320's. 3) If it gets to 330's then it's game over for the bears and bullish next week. 4) Closing below 323p will, in my opinion, herald more retrace next week. Let battle commence!!!

Yep, It's solely down to a broker downgrade (Stifel) fom buy to hold. Reason? Their own personal target of 345p has been met. Bonkers reason for such a massive one day fall to be based on. In the same note they highlight expectations of BWNG having a stonking good Christmas. They're not dissing the business nor its trading, just that they're out because they've hit their own personal target. You'd think there'd been a profit downgrade the way this one day drop has happened. Have calmed down now and fully expect this to overcome the market tetchyness this morning. Shows how this record breaking bull stockmarket run is getting nervy with mega over-reactions like this.

The SP is on a roll. Enjoy it. I'm thinking 817p close or will accept no less than 807p for Monday (4th Sept) :) Anyone thinking 840p's gets top billing and the star prize. - Or are you thinkiing 800p will prove so much more difficult to return to and climb back over than it was slippy-slidey, easier to grease slide down from, and it'll be back to 780's?

What a great finish close to Wedensday - did you see the closing candlestick? Only the most powerful of all single bullish candlesticks - the white Marabuzo that's all ! That's great news going into September. Could it be that insiders have heard a whisper of the interim's contents? Maybe not, as volume, although good, was just a smidgen below the 50 day average. Most importanmt (for me) will be what KA mebtions in the RNS about that failed Ladbrokes attempt. It'll take some serious slight of hand to convince me that buying Ladbrokes empty shops would have been a good move.

Lest any holders in GVC think the worst is over just found this, which was a concern I had (from analyst at IG): "..... Although the talks broke down, the impending government review into betting terminals, which could see the maximum stake cut drastically, could mean that GVC will return in due course....."

Now we know. The reason for the unexpected retrace over the past few months : a secret (talks held in private) £3.6Billion takever bid attempt by GVC for Ladbroke's predominately bricks and mortar business failed according to media reports with neither party willing to talk openly about it. Didn't you just KNOW, absolutely feel it in your water, that something other than govt potential regulatory reviews was not the entire reason for the retrace?
