ALBA have announced a placing at 27p this morning and GGP is off a tad at the time of opening, so our NAV will have fallen a bit today. I'm sure that was the right move by ALBA. Taking advantage of this great share price. Ariana Resources (AAU) are very close to announcing the final details on their new exciting J.V. Deal with an injection of $30m cash. That is said to result in a nice payout to investors so I expect the AAU share to remain strong. That injection of cash will be nice for SVE. Ariana Interims are also due later this month plus Quarterlies early October. In Quarter 4 there should be accretive news on the second mine at Tavsan and drilling results from Cyprus. So all looks good imo for Starvest's holding in Ariana Resources. By the way the ex Chairman of Starvest, Ronald Bruce Rowan owns c. 24.5m shares in Ariana which is 2.3%. Starvest obviously like Ariana Resources, and why not. I think it is a great gold share, but is also a silver and now with Cyprus a copper play.

I would support that. In normal circumstances one would attend the AGM and raise a question but perhaps it is better to issue the question more formally in writing beforehand.

Well done all involved (Co. brokers, insiders etc) for keeping the lid on this. No leaks. Shows it can be done. Actually rose 55% on day of the raise. The system can work notwithstanding what others in other shares say.

Does the Co. report anywhere how many shares it holds in the various invested companies?

I’m hoping (expecting) news next week. The chart shows consolidation ready to climb the next rung on the ladder imo. Fingers crossed.

The latest update was in the 2nd Sept RNS.
This is the relevant bit:-
We are now investigating the opportunities for further exploration and resource drilling in this area, along with progressing additional underground mining studies. Based on the initial work completed to date, there are opportunities to either extend the Arzu South pit to the northwest by at least 200m or to develop this area by underground mining methods. We are keen to undertake further studies in parallel with the completion of drafting of our new joint venture agreements with Ozaltin Holding A.S. and Proccea Construction Co., which we are focused on finalising in the coming weeks.

Tick tock. Before end of September perhaps?

I have it in mind that David said no placings were necessary for the foreseeable. Would have to do some research to find that but he surely he isn’t going back on his word. It seems there are some who find it easy to wind up the many thousands of investors here and have them panicking at the drop of a hat. If by any outside chance there is a placing then that will be it for David in terms of credibility imo. He’s on the edge of self funding and surely doesn’t want to knife investors in the back at the last hurdle. I hope my faith in human decency isn’t about to be challenged.

Too right. We are probably overlooked as a silver play but as the silver price continues to harden, that should change.
Any thoughts on how long “coming weeks” is - by end of September perhaps?

Ariana Resources discovers new high grade vein at Kiziltepe mine in Turkey Ariana Resources PLC's (LON:AAU) Dr Kerim Sener talks to Proactive London regarding their latest new discovery of high grade gold vein at the Kiziltepe mine in Turkey. The 'most important vein' at the Kiziltepe project, the Arzu South part of the mine, which has been mined for over three years now revealed high grades of up to 6.09 grams per tonne plus 107.58 grams per tonne silver. Great news - the 28th August Panmure Gordon latest Broker Note is now on the Web Site under Analyst coverage.
The share price target is upped to 6.73p from 5.1p. But the Valuation matrix shows a range of prices from 7.59p to 13.6p. At $2000 gold with a 10% discount the share price valuation is 11.99p. Not bad for conservative Panmure Gordon.
The up lift in valuation is of course due to the higher gold price (not sure how much notice it takes of the silver uplift in these figures) and re-valuations of our main assets, particularly Kiziltepe and Salinbas. Tavsan at $16m still looks undervalued to me. But more importantly bear in mind that these valuations take no account of the forthcoming deal and large injection of cash or the drilling potential at Red Rabbit, Salinbas or Cyprus.

Well the virtual AGM must be underway. Hope all the resolutions get approved and everyone sent in their votes by proxy. You didn't. Oh dear!
I understand there is a new encouraging Note out from Panmure Gordon today with strong increases in valuations which may be accounting for some of the current price action. This is still pre Deal and pre any big discoveries at Salinbas, Red Rabbit (Underground etc.) and Cyprus. Hopefully the Co. will put a copy on their Web site later today after the AGM.

No - for some reason that I can no longer recall and it goes back years, I use Plasybryn on ADVFN.
I’ve just had a look at the ADVFN thread for SLE and it seems a bit of a mess!!!
