Although there have been many quite plausible reasons why Schlumberger withdrew from Georgia and `gifted` their asset to BLOE in return for their options , I have never been totally convinced that their actions have been fully explained or really understood .
`Gifts` in the business world usually carry attachments ~ `Beware of Greeks .....`
Clearly by keeping these `Options` open , they have permitted the development of their once asset to BLOE , but they have neatly averted costs and risk .
Of course as AJW reminds us , they can convert and by doing so in a sense control the destiny of the Company ~ in its current format .
I have less conviction that they will use their options to advance and support the ongoing development of BLOE . Should there be some alternative strategy , perhaps merger or even acquisition I am sure that Schlumberger will act in the best interests of Schlumberger . I suspect the GoG will also act in the best interests of Georgia . At the moment it seems everybody is playing their cards close to their chests and waiting for the outcome of the immediate activities . That would seem to included the Directors and of course irrespective of the final outcome , their personal positions have been greatly enhanced with continuation of this employee `Share Scheme`.
I would like to see BLOE continue as an independent operation , however I`m not at all sure that will be the outcome : If the numbers are really good , it makes them more attractive as an acquisition especially as they have done most of the early heavy lifting . If the results are poor they may seen as a very cheap opportunity to replace management with more experienced (and more talented ?) personnel . The fact that management have employed BH is testament to the skills required outside the abilities of the incumbent management .
I`m not surprised that BLOE management have become almost secretive about their business , I can`t believe that PH is held in particular regard by the industry , and the move against the Dimmock is an indication of possible future intent .
I remain confident that whatever the outcome , shareholders at or around the current price will be beneficiaries of future developments and / or changes .
Unfortunately it has been a very troubled and extended journey just to get to this point
In my opinion , it is a win - win for everybody at this price , although we might have to settle for considerably less than we were hoping for .
I wont be buying any more , at least until the smoke clears or the dust settles and , I will certainly not be selling any because i feel that clarity will soon prevail .
Judging by recent volumes traded , I think quite a few investors may feel the same way !

15.28 : AJW During WW11 , my Uncle was a Desert Rat , managed to get out of Dunkirk in a small boat , took part in the D Day landings , and stood next to a guy who had his head blown off near Arnhem . He survived the rest of the war , came home broken but still a lovely Gentleman .
How sad it is to see the demise / merger of some of these proud Scottish Regiments . We should , our children should and their children should never forget the sacrifices made , not exclusively by Scottish Regiments , that has facilitated their freedom toady and of course the freedom of Free Speech for all .

I`m replying to you because I am also a fellow Scot ; My father from a Glaswegian family , My Mother from Hamilton where I was born , spent much of my early childhood in Kieth , went to school in Edinburgh , wore a `Skirt` every Sunday , and have relatives and friends all over Scotland .
I love Scotland , haggis , whisky , many of the traditions , and have considered returning .
(But , I fear for its future should this misguided Nationalistic frenzy persists ~ another subject.)

There have been significant damaging issues associated with this Company . Long term investors who held their stock should move back into profit before this year is out and how fortunate for those investing for the first time , spectacular growth potential .
As some one mentioned earlier give it three years , an oil price c. $70 , a fair wind and a few successful drills , you could ~ `Could` , be looking at c. 100p per share .
In the mean time , this looks about ready to push north ~ right up the Jock`s skirts !

I should say there are a few more intricacies with `Rollovers` that you should explore with your Broker .
I don`t think you can use this trading mechanism with online trading , not sure about that , but I hope that gives you the general idea .

When you buy a tranche of stock you may be able to defer payment by seLling the stock and immediately buying it back . This can extend the open position for up to another c. twenty days . At that point you will have to find the funds to buy , or , sell the stock .
Your Broker can arrange this type of deal for you for a small (relatively) small charge .
In the 6m case today :
You can see the tranche was sold and bought again within a minute : 16:05:17 ~~~ 16:04:58
You can also see that the Broker made a nice little turn for no real risk :
84.75k ~~~ 84.00k . That`s not to say there is NO risk for you ! It can be tempting to use this facility , IF
you want to expose yourself to a greater holding / don`t have the cash immediately to hand / are absolutely confident that the stock will rise within your c. twenty days .
BUT , as always , Buyer Beware , and this can be a risky adventure to take if the trade goes against you and you do NOT have the cash to buy yourself out .

The 2x 6 Million is most certainly a roll over .
I would say very low volume , but the vast majority of trades would appear to be buys .
DP said Croatia would soon follow so I believe it must be very close to an announcement .
Hopefully that will restart forward momentum , but it certainly `Feels` like a blue day tomorrow .

The Power issue may have two (but many many more) interesting consequences :
Las Vegas may become a ghost town (I mean City !) It`s almost impossible to live there without Air Con .
Southern California is the vegetable garden for the whole USA , that garden could die . A repeat of the southern `Dust Bowls` of the 1920`s .....etc ....etc...
and here`s an interesting little stat ...Phoenix is one of the fastest growing Cities in the US ~ Right bang in the middle of the dessert !!!

Al Gore was interviewed last night on US tv . How refreshing to listen to an Ex Politician who is both coherent and intelligent .
Now there was Politician who really DID have the election stolen from him in 2000 , but he resigned with dignity and integrity for the sake of his Country and Democracy . Unfortunately it`s been down hill all the way since then , and not just in The USA .
The world urgently needs a few more Al Gore`s and no more Trumps , Puptins , Xi Jinpings not to mention a bunch of European halfwits .....
Since leaving Politics he has devoted his time and energy to the worlds BIGGEST problem ~ by far ~ Global warming .
The effects of the phenomena are absolutely shocking , all across the world , if you can`t see these effect every day you`ve got you eyes and mind closed . One of the ironies is that THE biggest polluters China and the USA are suffering THE greatest consequences .
If the physical effects don`t change Governments` thinking then `Climate Migration surely will .
Across continents people are fleeing climates in regions in which life is becoming impossible to tolerate , or even survive .
One of the most affected regions in the US is the west coast . North Fork is a tiny blip on the map , but I think this has the potential to develop into a massive self help / rescue operation ~~~ Watch THAT one develop !
Anyway ~ looking forward to a rapidly acceleration news flow .

I wouldn`t argue with your logic , except that I am unashamedly much more bullish .
I know nothing about the mysteries of charting but it did seem to me around mid May that we may have to tolerate a dip back to 1.25 p and I posted something to that effect at the time . Well , we went close enough to a double bottom but does that now indicate a rapid return to c. 2.25 p ? Perhaps a `Charty` could proffer an opinion , but , surely this period of decline is now over .
In my opinion this is only going one way and the speed of ascent will be dictated by the roll out of successfully negotiated deals
and hopefully that partnership arrangement .
