Tony F : They may not know very much more than we mere humble PI`s , but ; II`s ALWAYS have the inside track .
However their problems are often greater than ours .
We can sell at the press of a button . II`s holding large positions are more likely to be locked in .
Big sells create big drops compounding the fragility of their positions .
But ; there`s always jiggery pokery going on and the MM`s often have means and ways of supporting the `Special Ones` !
On the contrary , we humble PI`s are usually the unfortunates holding the dirty end of the stick .

For once I agree with Geowiz !
A farm in for the assets and Haywood gone ~~~ and I also believe this will rerate like a rat up a drain pipe .
Possibly two big IFs , at least in the short term , but that`s why I left a small stake here .
Let`s hope they get a few barrels (OF OIL) out once the clean up is complete .

Just FWIW ~~~ I have around 120 shares on my watch list in the AIM market . Half of them need weeding out , and I doubt I would ever invest in about 40 of them ! Aim is such a dangerous game and i would not commit more than 60% of my capital there .
I watch the list out of curiosity and it gives an indication of market trends , direction and sectors in favour .
You just can`t invest in everything , you just can`t research everything in detail .
Most of the Companies mentioned on here are on my watch list including ADV , PXEN , AFC , PTAL.....
I have a few critical requirements which I try to meet :
Debt free . Regional acceptability . Proven ( trustworthy) quality management . Asset potential . price point in relation to growth prospects ......( and of course as many plus points as i can establish !)
But , of my top ten or so favourites , I`ve piled in BIG time to two Companies : EQT and ZPHR .
As far as I`m concerned , the rest can wait and I`ve not got all my eggs in one basket ~~~ I`ve got two !
Such is my confidence .
Why dilute dramatic potential gain by flirting around with a few more possibles for the sake of possible safety and considerably less gain ?
Anyway ~~~ Just my MO for interest .

I am also aware of a number of those `Serial Destructive Directors` to whom you allude .
They really SHOULD be exposed and banned form holding such positions , but they are experts in this game of deception and are clearly assisted by `The System` .
The whole AIM market stinks , and has a shocking reputation .

Uber Sensel : In fact they Can and what`s worse some DO ! eg : BPRG , Meldex .
Sadly there are many examples of appalling behaviour by Directors of Aim Companies (Though not exclusively AIM .)
In most cases it`s just blatant greed , abuse of position and inside knowledge . Outright theft is very difficult to prove .
The FSA is a toothless tiger and financial fraud usually too complicated for Jurors , too often just too expensive for the Prosecution .

Yep ~ This is a one of those weird ones !
These trades and price movements are not within the usual trading norms .
You would have to be in a position of some influence to get the MM`s to manage your requests like this .
It `looks `as if some `Preferred Investor` has had a seriously large buy order in place for the last week or so .

Who knows , but the truth will out in due course once the buy order has been satisfied .
I say Buy , because if it were Sell , I`m sure by now that would have been transparent in a declining share price .

I`m a little surprised that we haven`t already witnessed mass conversions .
The complexities , tax issues and legalities may be overwhelming for many lower paid employees .
Perhaps the value involved for many of these employees is just insignificant .
Perhaps some are wondering if they been misled .
Perhaps some don`t care or are just keeping their fingers crossed just like shareholders .

AJW : If that typically rude quip was directed to me , I am not going to repeat the detail of my post last week .
I made my position crystal clear so if you are interested you can check back .
I doubt you will , even in the face of an obvious disastrous situation for share holders , you would appear to be both in denial and remain determined to support this totally inadequate , incompetent BoD .
The failure ( extent as yet to be assessed) or otherwise of this well is now possibly the least important issue that is facing the Company .
What has become clear is that there is an accumulating and accelerating number of very serious issues .
You know what they are : Everything from current finances , Future finance requirement , Geological issues , Confidence destruction , Credibility , Cost of future cash raise , Punitive further dilution , External political interference , Disaffection following perceived on going failure , Reputation and competence of the CEO (and probably the BoD )~~~ETC ~~~ETC .
Despite this horrific backdrop , I am hopeful that the well will be cleaned and to some extent productive , but the damage has been done and recovering a Market value to support further development is going to be a very very serious challenge .
To make a start on those challenges Haywood HAS to go ~~~ ASAP , imo .

"Block Energy (BLOE) announced an operational update. Both production and revenues are down. Block is one I’ve been warning about for a long time, from as high as 17.5p. Here’s what I said about it back in July 2019:

As expected (see previous blog posts), reality hit Block Energy (BLOE) hard when the company announced the resumption of production at West Rustavi. For the first time production was stated in bopd (barrels of oil per day) rather than bbl/d (barrels per day) as previously. In fact, the well is only producing 295 bopd and the previous 1,100 bbl/d rate appears to have been mainly water. The company's paid PR was aggressively touting a thousand barrels of oil per day production to investors, who bought the shares up to 17.5p. Did BLOE never think they should correct that?

It’s a dodgy one, with many dubious characters involved and, unsurprisingly, the share price is now down over 90% to 1.65p (I warned about it again just a short while ago at over 3p). Luckily for the insiders, though, they were able to recently defeat a shareholders’ resolution to commission an independent forensic investigation into the affairs of the company. The game continues. "

Pleased to moving into a little profit now .
Bought some every day this week .
Pleased to have been able to pick up a few more before that last little tick up .
Funds ready for what might be a `Last Chance To Buy` on Monday .
By that I mean ~ at this price level .
Having just returned after six years in the US , I`m a but miffed that I hadn`t stumbled on this opportunity while I was over there ! I`m also a bit surprised that this does not yet seem to have some serious attention in the US markets .
Perhaps that`s about to change very soon .
This looks like a tightly coiled spring , and after a disastrous association with BLOE , my pf could do with a bit of a boost before Christmas .

Well done Northern ! Unfortunately I spotted this to late for a bargain basement price , but I find the story here so compelling that I have been steadily building a decent position over recent weeks .
