Great thing now is that most of the guys I know invested in here have been since 6-9p so little downside and upside is huge, early door guys holding these for much bigger numbers, now one of my biggest and longest holds

Not much stock about expecting more updates on drills this week, erris very much in the race here, next update coukd see a huge move here, abbeytown is the key here and news due on that, don’t missout huge move coming.

The Irish Mining and Exploration Group (IMEG) is the representative body of the mining and exploration industry in Ireland.

Ireland is the largest producer of zinc concentrates in the EU and one of the ten largest in the world. Ireland's modern mining industry is conducted by companies and professionals in a socially responsible manner and to the highest environmental standards.

The mining and exploration sector makes a very significant contribution to the Irish economy, particularly to local rural economies, where the mines are among the biggest employers in their regions;

The industry directly employs 1,200 people and over 3,000 in support and downstream jobs

Exploration
The discovery of new mineral deposits is necessary to meet the ever increasing demand in the EU and globally for mineral resources. Ireland has a favourable geology for further discoveries of base metals and other orebodies including gold.

Exploration activity in Ireland has increased over the past few years with encouraging results reported by a number of companies.

Although zinc prices have dropped from their recent five-year highs, the market dynamics are not expected to shift anytime soon and with little new production on the horizon, the focus is returning to Ireland, a leading jurisdiction in the base-metals space.

Despite being one of the top mining jurisdictions in the world, Ireland has not been a major focal point in the mining sector, until now. A new breed of junior explorers is active on the island as they say there is still plenty of zinc mineral potential as technology brings new opportunities.

John Kearney, chairman and CEO of the private mining company Buchans Resources has a long history of zinc mining in Ireland. To start his career, he joined an Irish mining group who rasied capital in Canada in the 1960s and 1970s and were credited with finding the first modern mines in the country in 100 years. Europe’s largest zinc mine Boliden Tara continues to operate after 41 years and producing more than 85 million tonnes of zinc.

Kearney’s new company is expected to go public in mid-2018 as a new breed of junior explorers that are breath’s new life into the country and the sector.

“In the last two years we have seen a major influx of junior companies into the country,” he said. “These companies are bringing new ideas, new technology and excitement to the sector.”
Group Eleven Resources is one of the new Canadian-listed junior explorers looking for the next deposit in Ireland. G11 went public in late 2017, but as a private company, it managed to raise $12 million, including $5m on its IPO.
Bart Jaworski, CEO of G11 Resources, said that he is excited to be in the zinc space. Although the market has lost some of its excitement since the start of the year when prices were at a multi-year high, he said he doesn’t see any significant shift in the supply and demand outlook to damage the market’s current uptrend.
“There has not been a lot of exploration dollars put into the ground for zinc exploration and Ireland is a great example. The country went from having three zinc mines to now only one and it only has about five years of mine life left according to its published reserve numbers,” he said. “If that is a reflection of what is happening worldwide, then that is fairly bullish for the zinc market.”
Not only is the market seeing falling supply, but Jaworski said that he expects demand to continue to grow. Although the ongoing threat of a global trade war is weighing on sentiment, he noted that global growth remains strong and will continue to support base metal prices.

The market was cheered by more high-grade intersections in one of the world’s premier zinc mining destinations, in results that Erris’s chief operating officer Aiden Lavelle called “excellent.”

The numbers do look good and include 15.63% zinc plus lead and just over 90 grams per tonne silver over 4.1 metres, and 15.57% zinc and lead, 1.9% copper and 51.5 grams silver over 2 metres.

Further high-grade copper occurrences were also reported.

Mineralisation remains open to the north and south.

“The additional surface drill holes have further improved our understanding of the controls on mineralisation and expanded the project potential with good continuity of mineralisation demonstrated south of the old Abbeytown mine,” continued Lavelle.

“It is now planned to test the gap between the underground mine and this recent surface drilling by focused drilling from two underground drill pads to give maximum information on continuity and grade.

Historic mine likely to yield more riches
Abbeytown is a near-surface brownfields project with potentially low-cost underground development, centred on a historic lead-silver mine. The old mine is itself situated within an active limestone quarry operated by the Harrington Group. Ore was extracted over centuries before an industrial-scale lead mine was operated between 1951 and 1961, initially as an open pit, and then as an underground mine.

This means Abbeytown is in an industrial setting, with a fully permitted quarry operating around it, with industrial infrastructure present. Road, power, rail and port are all available nearby.

Swedish assets offer additional upside in gold, with Centerra as partner
Meanwhile, in Sweden, Erris Resources is working with joint venture partner Centerra Gold (TSE:CG) to develop the Brännberg project in the Skellefteå mining district of northern Sweden.

Brännberg comprises five permits acquired via a direct application from the government and a sixth permit, Grundtrask #7, acquired from Beowulf Mining.

Previous drilling has had a high success rate. Twenty-one shallow holes were drilled, and seventeen were assayed, of which fourteen returned greater than one gram per tonne gold over more than one metre. Mineralisation is open at depth and along strike.

Among the better results were 28 metres grading 2.0 grams gold and 33 metres at 1.8 grams.

Centerra is earning into 70% of the project with a US$3mln spending commitment

Erris also controls the Nordgruven project in Värmlands, Sweden, where multiple historic workings and gold occurrences have been identified.

It also controls Enåsen, in central Sweden, the ground surrounding the historic Enåsen mine that produced 1.7 mln tonnes at three grams per tonne gold from 1984 to 1991. The area surrounding

A third hole had a copper rich intersection, with 5m grading 4.7% Zn and Pb combined, 1.12% Cu and 29.3g/t Ag from 119.5-124.5m, including 3.5m grading 6.29% Zn and Pb combined, 1.59% Cu and 39.93g/t Ag from 121-124.5m.

Erris said new zinc soil anomalies had defined "parallel trends for further targeting with potential to expand the target zone".

Couple of large bed and isa the last couple of days, some must be expecting big returns here, someone picked up the loose stock yesterday, seller taken out at higher price than here, expect a run here soon back to much higher prices, company working a 10 @ 10 rule on this one and they seem confident in the results so far, hopefully Rns this week

In here we have 2 companies with Mcap over 1.5 billion pounds each, one a cornerstone investor, the other a Jv partner funding works on assets, don’t think they are here to waste their money.

The Company is in a strong position with Osisko Gold Royalties as our cornerstone shareholder. Progress has continued under the Company's strategic alliance with Centerra Gold KB Inc ("Centerra Gold", a wholly owned subsidiary of Centerra Gold Inc., the TSX listed gold and copper producer. At the beginning of 2018, Centerra Gold elected to earn into the Brannberg gold project with a US$1,000,000 investment, taking the total funding received from Centerra in 2018 by Erris to US$1,850,000. The Swedish work programme, fully funded by Centerra, has included ground geophysical surveys, surface sampling, mapping and diamond drilling focussed on Brannberg.

To summarise the reasons I believe this is an interesting investment case;

We had a cash balance of €2.59m at 26 September, so no funding worries.

Have a JV with Centerra Gold in Sweden where they elected to spend $1.85m in 2018, this offers huge upside potential.

Abbeytown is progressing well, LME Zinc stock levels have fallen from near 1m tonnes 5 years ago to just over 100k, so a price rise seems inevitable soon - see bottom chart here ; http://www.kitcometals.com/charts/zinc_historical_large.html

Free float is tiny, so this will be impossible to buy if/when good news arrives.

A very strong board, recently strengthened by a new CEO who I’m sure will want to make an impression.

IPO’d at 25p, a market cap of £7.75m, cash of £3.5m, so EV of £4.25m. Current mid price of 8.25p gives a market cap of £2.56m, cash of approx £2m, so now has an EV of £0.56k

Given that the story hasn’t changed (and has in fact considerably improved in the case of Abbeytown), where has the £3.75m of EV gone?

Finally, this past week had by far the highest volume since IPO as PI’s discovered this story and realised the disconnect in share price, it’ll be very interesting to watch the share price movement between now and Christmas...

No maestro he can’t buy if news is coming, what I am saying is when he gets the news out he can buy, every other person linked here has shares and it would be good for the new ceo to buy some shares .

He is doing a podcast I would imagine it’s linked to news, he has only been in the job since the 19th of November that’s the day he started before that was just announcements he was coming on board, hopefully getbthe news and podcast out and he can buy some to show confidence
