A crude calculation shows that last years production of just over 13000 tons that resulted in revenue of 1.4 Mill shows that we achieved less than 100 a ton. Probably to crude to extrapolate. But put it next to the Temple order and we have a forward order book!! Wow - wonders can some times happen!

Hi Talygarn, hopefully we will possibly break even at year end. You've only been invested for 5 years? Welcome to the always getting rich and disappointed AIM club. In my experience it- usually takes some 5 to 8 years to actually make real gains.

If this price level is truly unacceptable and you decide to sell and go then please let me know what you switched to.

Last H1 our losses were greater than our revenue. Even if we hit 1 Mill revenue, not impossible, we would still make a loss as we have greater costings now but we could still get close to halving last years losses.

Our MC is some 54 Mill and we have some 10 Mill in cash. I'm sure our revenue this year will exceed the 44 Mill difference. This is a woefully low MC. We made a small profit last year and that should increase this Year.

So to return to my favourite hobby horse - spend the rest of the acquisition cash and declare a small token divi and this will advertise us as go-ahead well run business to a much larger pool of investors who only purchase shares in divi paying companies.

This is good news but as it's only 0.7 Mill it will not, on it's own, do a lot of lifting. The Sapienza take-over was a good move but it may take a little time to properly be assimilated. Still some 10 Mill or so to spend some 2 years from the fund raising.

Good SP reaction to a good set of results that are showing a clear future path. The money from River is getting closer, the licencing future is progressing well and the social publishing side is being addressed.

The only bit I'm not to sure about is the reason for the delay in announcing the results - often a bad sign. Lets hope we get an early update on the 1st half. This is starting to look good.

Hi Max thanks for that. I also looked up info re the above. Gor Blimey Guv'nor it really is a vast field! I once heard specialisation being defined as more and more knowledge about less and less .

It does seem as though that one of TPGs intentions is to supply more and more technical and innovative solutions to support the Tier 1 companies. The Sapienza acquisition is exactly attuned to this.

While I'm still *****ing about the 8/ 12 Mill acquisition fund not yet spent the BoD have not made any real mistakes so I am basically a happy Bunny.

It's going to be good anyway. The Temple order will probably start as you would think they will want some stone in India for processing before the winter shut down. Say 20/25% with most of the balance next year? An excellent forward order which we've never had before. Could be why Green Power and Scope have decided to (probably) ask for more cash.

Good call Nitbhav06 - a good year in front of us. 2 Mill plus should be achievable this year.

I've often wondered about the cost of an RNS. Does anybody have any Info?

hi compadre. I'm not advocating divis that would reduce investment/takeover potential. What I would advocate is a token tiny divi for the following reasons.

1. Providing a competent BoD has run the company well then a token divi shows a positive statement about the future.

2 It provides a cheap form of advertising.

3. The number of PI's and II's who invest in dividend paying companies far and away outnumber those that don't.

By paying a divi we immediately go on the radar of a whole lot more of deep pocket long term investors, some of which may well dip a toe in the water.

I hold IDEAGEN a software company that does this and also grows by both acquisitions and organic revenue. The income is insignificant but the share price has trebled in just over three years.

Full audited accounts due in 4 weeks. This is an opportunity to give an update. What a lift it would be if we could announce a further MDM contract by then!!

Interesting article unvrkw, confirmed a few thoughts and supplied good info. Last year we got a operational update on the 31st July with a few numbers so I'm expecting similar this year but with better numbers!!

Might also get a bit of info re the rest of the years progression. Recently this has seemed more factual rather than wishful thinking but this is probably because our whole situation is now much clearer. Things looking up.

Interesting post Steve - fast moving world we're in! I believe we have to pay a licensing fee to Illumina which may restrict our bid but sage 32 may come to our rescue assuming of course we have the quality to be considered which is a strong possibility.

However as you say in the scheme of things it wouldn't be a major setback if we didn't succeed.

Simon does try to do a webcast every quarter or so. last one was 2nd of May.

All I want is the next VSP contract to be announced. As he said in the last one he wants the numbers to do the talking!

At long at we seem to be completing orders instead of making announcements that occasionally disappear! A good bit of housekeeping thrown in to boot!

Hope I'm not being to optimistic but this year seems to have a more positive feel to it. I don't think we've cracked it just yet but we certainly are in a much better position than this time last year. Onwards and upwards!

Progress at HDD is always glacial. If I had realised in 2006 just how glacial it would be I might not have bought at 11p in old money or equivalent today at £4.40. Yes folks you read that right!

However by averaging down I am now at 36p. So why did I continue to buy and make this my biggest holding by far?

Basically the BoD has made good long term decisions - possibly helped by the slow progress. This latest Nadcap accreditation shows, to me, that whatever it takes to make HDD successful the BoD will do what is needed and they are well on the money.

For me the calendar year end of 2020 will be a time to start taking stock of what we have. Only another 18 months folks!!

12.75p looks good to me. I've just re-read the last full year update. In the last 12 months or so many things have improved. We seem to have a clear way forward and while a MC of £70/80 mill may restrict magic SP rises in the short term at long last we seem to have a direction.

Full years figures for year ending 2021 will, hopefully for me, be the turning point of growth plus profits for a long term rich relationship.
