You're right ABLE - there is a lot of rubbish. The only downside as I see it is the inevitable downsizing of national defense budgets. However I don't see the Dreadnought or Astute programmes being to badly effected which is probably the most important to us. I think the Aussie sub program will continue and our other defense contracts are fairly well spread. As a bonus our consultancy capabilities may well be enhanced by any spending cuts as they focus on efficiency and cost saving.

As we are so diversified I think it will be a bit swings and roundabouts. What is important though is the fact that our recent acquisitions are now well integrated, paid for and producing. The only way is up! But to be fair I have said something similar in the past - one day it will be true!

Yes eshaitan, it seems the only certain thing re Fox is uncertainty. I bought back in because the one constant is that CG keeps on trucking. I think the business is viable but there are a huge number of variables. It's sort of a modern Wild West in Kosovo and the latest Government, supposedly reformist, may well not deliver as promised. I think Fox is definitely one of AIM's gambles. Viable - yes. successful - maybe.

I think our best hope is that we can come to some sort of arrangement that allows us to grow the business - it doesn't have to be huge compensation but say return the quarries, give us some tax breaks and a modest compensation for lost revenue that will get us back on track and I'm certain, with the new management, that CG will deliver.

Yes indeed it's pretty impressive. I only have one point I'm not too sure about. I appears that we only have one reactor approved by Airbus and that is still at the old site. So it seems as if we have to keep that there until we are approved at the new site which means that, as I see it, we can't complete the upgrade on it until it's moved. This in turn means paying for 2 sites for longer than the original plan.

As the new site has all new kit then Airbus are expected to take until the end of 2020 to approve the new site. It would be good if we could get the whole site approved as only one reactor isn't going to cut the mustard. Anybody any info?

6.00 News tonight. 20 minute result Covid-19 test being tested in 2 UK hospitals. It looks as if the test rig is a smallish hand held device. No idea of cost but appears aimed at the Care Home market. If successful you would think it be attractive to GP surgeries and a whole host of other applications This could dent the more traditional tests such as ours.

I thought last week at the downing street press do, or it might have been in the news just after that a test was being tested to find out if a person had Covid-19 that did not need a Lab but gave the results in 20 Mins Anybody else remember that?

Hi Greenspan, again I start by saying I'm not to sure about what you mean. Your 1st sentence on your 15.22 post "There’s no explanation of why SK resigned either." is unclear. By using the word either you imply a second alternative. What is that? Who is he anyway?

Hi Greenspan, I'm not to sure your being fair. "And the only think they have managed to do is turn multi million pound revenues into a consistent loss year after year." This is just not so. The company has consistently re-invested in the business and the company has grown remarkably in the last 4 years. This is the strategy that the BoD publicly laid out. They are achieving that. Look at the history. If you don't agree with the BoD tell them.

There are some people who think the BoD is competent and successful. My only disappointment is the lack of a token Divi - I might have mentioned this before!!! I believe that once they do it will be seen as a sign of confidence in the future. Many PI's and II's will not buy in a company that pays no divi so my thinking is that once this happens we come above the radar. As you say the price is low and the future is pretty clear so this may well be a buying opportunity with very little downside.
PS I see you post on the Aston Martin board - now to buy there would be brave indeed!

Hi Greenspan. I'm not to certain what your point is re TPG. We're a loss making company that pays no divi listed on AIM. In many peoples eyes we are a start-up.

Yet in years '16 to '18 we doubled our revenue and the same in '17 to '19. because we have a forward order book of some 150% of revenue we might do the same in '20 t0 '21, Covid-19 allowing of course.

We are high tech with long term Blue Chip and international governmental contracts. What more do you expect?

To be fair we actually did make a profit in 2018 but only 180K. I've just re-read the results and I have to say I'm quite impressed by the progress made across the board - all divisions are running well. The only downside for me is that in spite of us being 3/4 of the way through the 1st half no comment/update was made. However the tone was very upbeat and I'm hoping for a record 1st half and maybe a token divi!?

The one fly in the ointment may be reduced government spending as countries try to re-coup the Covid-19 costs. However we are well spread with both our range of contracts and also geographically. I didn't see any reference to any slow down due to lockdown or Social Distancing so I'm guessing we're in pretty good shape for our 1st half anyway.

Yes it's a little mixed for me too. Was hoping for a token divi. However to increase the revenue by 50% is some achievement and for me mitigates the increased cost of sales.

Looking at the figures the cash has largely gone on earn-out payments which given the increased revenue is perhaps acceptable. Drawing down the 7 Mill could be seen as prudent - grab it while it's there?

To increase the order book to 63 Mill is some achievement and bodes well for the future - now how long have I been saying that I wonder?

H pacman1. Yes I reckon the CE mark is priced in a little bit. Not to sure that I want big one-off SP rises. Since Rees has joined the BoD seems both much more focused (beaten into line perhaps - only joking) but also more widely aware of world markets.

I see this as a long term hold. The cost base can be controlled so revenue increases can fall meaningfully to the bottom line easily.

I've said before that one of HDD's strengths is the ability of the BoD to plan ahead. It takes a year or so plus 1 Mill from the time of ordering, to the time of commissioning, a new reactor. In the past they've got it right and with the announcement last year of 3 new reactors and new premises I crossed all my fingers and toes but yet again it was exactly right.

Obviously revenue is important and we look good to grow this. Say some 10 Mill revenue is possible from next year at full capacity which will put us into profit. However the bellwether for me will be the announcement of new reactor orders.

Why people link PYC to covid-19 is beyond understanding. On the 28th of April presentation the company made a point of saying we were exclusively involved with cancer. Page 8, bullet point 3 - look it up if you wish. If we were involved why would we not say so. Unless of course it's a security issue with H M Government and we've signed the Official Secrets Act!!!

Thanks for the link semaj2000, listening to the podcast and rereading the RNS it seems as if there are new revenue streams such as a production order for Airbus plus increased business from existing customers plus a range of imminent new customers such as tier 1 air bus suppliers and the filtration opportunity. EDF seem really keen as they've already supplied the new bigger blades! The new low temperature coating also seems close to orders.

The BoD got the new premises and reactor ordered just in time so well done them. I don't see us breaking into profit this year but with the extra capacity available by year end and with the new customers and leads I think there a fair chance of profits next year - now that would be something!!

Hi eshaitan, With a MC of 7 Mill and a continuing business there might not be to much future downside. The recent drop was I think caused by worries that the company would fold - it could still do so of course but the risk is now lower. One decent new order and this will probably move up.

Covid-19 is clogging up Courts but that in itself is encouraging Mediation which is far swifter. Anybody's guess I reckon.
