Pessimistic thinking for some. Last half year was a revenue increase of 97%. This half year will possibly be similar.
Last full year was 86% and again this could be repeated. SP up by 1/3rd in 12 months.

Depends very much on any forward statements. The beauty of licensing models are the low cost of supply and the visibility of forward revenue. Wouldn't want to forecast this one!

Hi eshaitan, Thought I'd have a look at the website but I couldn't access the mini brochure re block sales. I will try later in case it was my error. I was wondering if anybody else has had the same problem? If I fail again I intend to report this by emailing the company using the standard contact form as on their website.

I'm pleased your rather negative view of HDD has changed to a more positive one. I do wish to say though that the info I supplied is publicly and freely available on the RNS and news sections of the website. Perhaps an occasional visit? In fact the BoD is very good at communication - far better than many.

This financial year will be losses but by calendar year end I'm certain things will be clearer. By half year March we will be breaking even and by year end into profit. We've completed so many successful test programs for this not to happen.

My breakeven is 36p and it looks as if two or three other start-up companies ( start-up from a financial perspective) I hold are about to move into profit/stroke growth with hopefully good SP rises. I will maybe sell a few and take a profit there and top-up here because of the massive potential of a truly unique product with a long and formidable barrier of entry for any competitor. As a bonus I think any major problems that the company has had since I've been here is from the several O & G recessions. The BoD has always weathered those storms and gets the big decisions right.

Good post unvrkw, Chinese activity is good for world trade ( Like it or not! ) Big Infrastructure spending in China could either directly or indirectly include Marble - a good straw in the wind.

Hi RobR, I first invested in November 2006 @10.9p which incidentally following the share reorganization is £43.60 a pop!

After all this time I feel a part of the company hence the "we". HDD made a deliberate decision to equip the new Bicester site with brand new equipment throughout and that has produced a site far more efficient than the old one . Importantly it is only half occupied Capacity can be doubled in 12 months or so. This could be seen as an important statement of intent - but hardly a sticking plaster! Martinsville also has capacity to almost double production in a similar amount of time.

Current overall capacity is sufficient to cover costs and generate profits. Double the capacity and profits will be greatly multiplied because of the high margins. Because we have a patented and truly unique process that is proven in the field I can only see growth because we have no comparable competitors.

There is only one drawback. It takes time to expand. A new reactor has a lead time of some 10 to 12 months and costs around 1 Mill with associated equipment. However with production revenue at 1 Mill per year it only take some 2 years to recover both the startup costs and the 2 year running costs and then it's profits. The reactors last for years. In spite of this lead time restriction the BoD has anticipated demand and orders in such a way that we've never yet been stifled by production capacity. This is perhaps an advantage of long term testing as well as providing barriers of entry. In my book this shows sound business judgement. My guess is that because we can now double capacity relatively easily a new site may be the next option, perhaps overseas. The Far East/Asia is an option.

You do seem a little negative and as you've followed HDD for 9 years I'm not sure why this is so. There must be a reason - are you invested?

Exactly right Steve67 - Covid-19 is such a fast moving market that it should only be viewed as a bonus and only while it lasts. There's so many companies around the world that it's a crowded market place so viewing it as an anti-dilution aid makes it a double bonus!!

Our core businesses are far more targeted in large growth fields with world leading products. We've grown so much in the last 2 years that 30% annual growth would , I think, be almost disappointing!

Hi Robr, I think you should read the first three news stories on the companies website to give you a recent flavour of what is going on at the moment.

You might then consider why we have been testing with Airbus, and a host of other aerospace companies , over the last 9 (repeat 9) years or so, and also consider why we are testing with EDF over the last 2 to 3 years. Why are we doing that? You may conclude it is to diversify away from O & G.

Finally consider that a year ago we virtually had 5 production reactors and 1 R & D and testing reactor. We now have upgraded the old Bicester reactors and acquired 3 more. One of these is new larger development to accommodate longer Turbine blades and aircraft landing gear. In effect we have doubled our production capacity in the last year.

What more do you suggest we actually do. Feel free to raise any queries you may have but do spend some time on the website and explore it because it is a mine of information.

Regarding selling to the NHS. It's not actually truly "national" It used to be a real marathon as each Trust (and there's over 200 of 'em!) used to do it's own thing and have it's own criteria. It used to be extremely time consuming because you dealt with each in isolation - and each administration was different!

Covid-19 may have streamlined some processes such as supply of PE but I bet it's still as mainly disjointed in reality.

I guess we're rapidly approaching the point where any new order will have no effect on this year. Obviously next year should be good (providing we do actually get an order!) but it would help a consistency in revenue if we got one for this year.

Patience is a virtue, as my grandmother used to tell me which to be fair didn't really help then!

I'll 2nd that jolly, our MC is some 8 times last years revenue which for a loss making company is ok. As the numbers come in we will start to build the SP in, I hope, a steady progression. LR has publicly stated he is aiming for an MC of 500 Mill and I believe he will get there.

It will be interesting to see if last years 87% revenue increase will be beaten. I personally think that could happen because we are progressing on so many fronts. Very pleased to be here!

Hi Alocasia, Just read the article, there's some really big numbers there. It does seem as if the sky could be the limit. It's almost as though we could grow big enough to be a target for the bigger players. I personally would prefer not to be taken over and stay in the UK and see just how far this goes. However if a US listing helped achieve independence then I would be in favor. Whatever the outcome I reckon this is going to be an exiting ride!

I've asked for an update on new quarry openings as in the Feb RNS and also is the factory able to take more equipment and if not how easy is it to expand. Really looking forward to the show!

This is virtually a new company and last year the revenue was 1/4 of the revenue 4 years ago so we have no history to be judged on apart from consistent losses. The interims on the 8th will be one of the few new measures since the total re-organization. I think they will catch the markets attention. But to be fair to the markets we have doubled our SP in the last 3 months.

We had a record 1st half and could have had a record full year. But as the July update says, revenue is expected to be below last years because sales are down owing to the slowing O & G market coupled with an important customer project delay. This is in spite of a greatly increased production capacity during the 2nd half. It's just a good old fashioned lack of orders.

It's to late now to overcome this but I don't think the O & G will recover quickly and we are still testing on the Turbine blade project. Will we complete the testing in the new financial year? Somehow I doubt it when you see how long it has been already. Sods law says that the new larger blades processed in the new larger reactor will have new larger tests!!!

So for know we will have to look to the aviation market for growth. As we are a new development the general aviation slowdown will not have to much effect and there are small signs of recovery anyway. Because we are a cost effective solution we should still see increased sales at some point. It's just a case of which point!

You'd think it would be a good idea to release full and half year figures plus a trading statement this week to avoid time and effort on factual points. The biggy is of course the government claim but he won't be able to say much about that so perhaps a statement on that as well.

I'm going to ask about the new quarry program as it is important to get new reserves and it seems to take 3 quarrying seasons to get to the good marble that can be sold as blocks although some of the early blocks can be cut for tiles and the dross discarded or ground up. Glad I did my top up, got 45333 @ 2.2p - happy days!

All three authors are PYC. Don't understand the terminology but it looks like a cracking bit of promotion to a very targeted audience. Can only be good.

I've been a bit twitchy lately re the above. I know our revenue is the same as '18 but it would be good to see the full accounts and we've not had much about the 1st half yet. So I went back to August '19 and re - read the RNSs. It struck me that in the last 12 months we have made a really solid progress in all parts of the business. I'm expecting the interims will make good reading and nudge the SP a little, I just cant see a MC of 7 Mill will last much longer. As an example the three contracts for finished tiles will deliver last years revenue for next year on their own!

I'm very pleased I bought back in - might just do another little top - up!
