From memory the £6.5 Mill 'debt' issue is as notaflipper says - basically a commission. While florida has a point I don't think it's serious enough for YGEN to deliberately stay loss making.

Hi dustybin, As you have highlighted lots of new revenue streams. The company did say that this year will be cash positive. Providing we get the £1.5 Mill final payment then with our comparatively fixed costs a profit is possible. Next year it is a given.

Hi Scrodingerscat, I hope you and GarryParry struggle les than I did with typing your handle! It may well be that as the company grows the smaller contracts will not be so prominent. The more recent ones have been quite large and the order book is at a record high. Let us all hope the company does not struggle to deliver!!

They were different days then alright. PYC was less established and the Merck contract did not mention KGaA. (as the later announcement did) Many thought it was the much bigger USA Merch company and the SP took off. Not that I'm complaining as i sold a few on the 30th @ 27p and bought back a month or so later - so I'm in clear profit.

I'm no accountant either and one of my metrics is head count. Yes the Wage bill was some 25% up but the revenue almost doubled and the losses were the lowest they've ever been (apart from a technical profit the previous year). Can't quite see how sales and production can increase that much without some extra help?

On another point as Natdan reiterated - LR said in mid 2018 the plan was looking ahead for the next 3/5 years. That was almost 2.5 years ago. If the next 2,.5 years go as well as the first then I'll be a happy bunny for sure as the revenue has multiplied by some 2.5 times in that period.

I deal with iweb (cos it's cheap!) and at 15.16 today the price went up by1.5p to 36p. They use Digitalook. Also 36p on 'This is MONEY' web site. But not registered on here. Hope it's LSE's mistake!

Well not according to the October update Andy - no nasties there but no gold stars either. Obviously interest will be on any update on current trading. I do though have a bit of a concern. We have obviously spent a fair bit of effort and cash on the highly accurate Claragine test. But the market has moved on. Results can now be hours not days, they may be less accurate but you could do multiple tests to overcome that.

I've got a feeling our test is now superseded and sales will diminish. Just hope our costs will be recovered. Mind you perhaps we are working on a quicker test. But on balance I hope that, as LR said, our core business has not been compromised by Covid distraction.

Can't recall PYC ever commenting on Covid except to reaffirm that they are exclusively focused on Cancers. I think cancer drugs and tumors and virus's are to far apart.

Looking back with hindsight the May '19 acquisition of Sapienza coupled with the acquisition of Osprey and the sale of Engineering has given the company a new direction and a shot in the arm. It may be that engineering losses will dent any profit this year but at least next year should be clear and profitable (Now when have I thought that before! )

I believe that once we declare a profit we will get a lot more interest and there's every chance of a rerate. Last years trading update was the end of January so only 2 months to go folks!

Difficult to name a replacement if CG did step down. Now we have quarrying experience both on the Board and in the factory our operational ability has never been better. We are apparently processing existing orders. I bought back in a year or so ago because the company seemed at long last to being run better and with the chance of successful litigation. If that has evaporated, and as yet we don't know definitely, then we may pull through anyway. Not yet squeaky bum time but definitely closer if the litigation fails.

This is a safe bet indeed. Last years full revenue was £6.88 Mil. This years half year revenue is £5.2 Mil.

Obviously needs a lot of deep thought regarding the slew of contract/agreements signed in the last 12 months or so that will start to produce - not just in this half year but importantly will reach full fruition next year.

Oh I forgot - hopefully a £1.5 Mill lump sum in the next 6 weeks anyway!

I'm not ruling out going first in due course. Plenty of time yet as priority groups go first anyway. As we're still trialing there's more info to come and possibly a range of vaccines as well. Time will tell. I'm no expert but I think I'm right in saying that so far in the history of vaccines no REAL long term adverse reactions have been recorded?

Hi GarryParry, can't quite fathom your struggle to see where revenue is going to come from. If you look at the fundamentals tab you will see we have doubled the revenue from '16 to'18 and again from '17 to '19. You seem to have discounted , or not been aware of, the forward order book which is a little in excess of last years revenue.

Excellent find NiptSteve, it now seems a question of when not if . Morbid curiosity perhaps but does anybody know how many patients are candidates. IE - what is the market?

In theory secularist you're correct but this is Airbus! We were approved for wing pressure pads on the A330 in August '19. Other Airbus models were in the approval stage for the pads and some other applications were also being tested including landing gear but I have seen no further announcement.

The new larger reactor was needed to complete landing gear tests along with longer turbine blades so this new testing is in it's infancy. We are running one remaining old reactor at the old site because this is the only one airbus has approved. Any Airbus approval at the new site is apparently some 2 to 4 months away. Some 3 years ago Kirkham said that each reactor could generate around a 1mill of revenue per year.

Our Year has some 10 months to go so I'm hoping that we will benefit from Airbus orders in the 2nd half - not to sure if I want to hold my breath though!

Hi brainspark, the last I heard CG said in his last presentation that a 'no win no fee' funding arrangement was in place but i don't remember with whom. Have you heard any different please?

I too have been here since the Vialogy years and can honestly say I'm far far happier now than then!! There's been some 60+ RNS's in the last 12 months or so in spite of Covid disruptions. Can't quite think what the BoD can do apart from make stuff up unless they start a monthly newsletter?

Increasing revenue and a maiden profit will be all the publicity we need! I think we may well get both this year.

Turbine blades are possibly a bit way off - 12/24 months and possibly longer. EDF has supplied larger blades to test in the new larger reactor up to I think 1.5 MT's. They are interested in steam turbines for electricity generation. However the water droplet damage is also applicable to aero engine blades. The potential market for both applications is huge but my concern is the length of testing time. I think airbus is some 10 years already and we've only got 1 reactor approved!

Well yes if airbus is slowing production then that's not good. But as they are a new outlet then it must mean increased sales anyway. The MRO market is also opening up to us and from pretty much a zero base.

You have to bear in mind that only one reactor at the old site is airbus approved anyway so until the new site is approved then we have limitations with airbus. In the last 4 or 5 months there's been a lot of testing on a range of new products so I think this is where any growth may come until airbus approval in say Feb/Mar.
