Well it seems that we may be in a consultancy role here rather than actually engineering. Presumably then we could sell engineering and perhaps retain consultancy. Now, I wonder if this has occurred to the BoD!

Thanks OT, my concern is that I saw no logo and heard no word about TPG . If all we did was give "shoehorn" experience gained from Subs then our future involvement will be limited to design only. Possibly electrolysis expertise?

Interesting post colorblind and also encouraging. I've said before that I'd be happy with an early settlement to include some government paving contracts, town squares, railway stations, airport etc. plus enough cash to clear all debts, buy any needed machinery and a cash reserve. Not to sure what that would cost but less than 196 Mill! I've always thought that a little ambitious actually!

Sorry Trapper but your wrong. No report over any period has announced 27 Business meetings.in the previous calendar year. The important point is actual meetings not mere contacts. If you can't understand the future significance of that then sell and go.

Yes indeed - progress on many fronts. Could be a record 2nd half that might not achieve break-even but will build throughout next year and into profit. Our cost base may increase a bit but this is largely fixed costs anyway.

Just a thought. Not to sure that it would be a bad thing - depending on price of course! I've been looking at the Sapienza acquisition which cost some e13/14 Mill including lift. Last March we announced a contract extension worth some e30 Mill over some 30 months. In June and July last year we announced e27 Mill of contracts. Don't know the margin but it's surely profitable. Add in the other bits of TPR outside of engineering which also has a consultancy element plus Osprey and the subsequent change of direction could be just what the SP needs. All this time with no profit is definitely tedious.

Re-reading page 10 of the 2020 Annual Report I've got the impression that if orders with current customers go right for us the 2nd half could be very close to break evan. There seems a slew of new applications and customers that may well come on stream, if not in the current 2nd half, then in the next financial year. Airbus approval first of course . The turbine blade thing is 2/3 years away as yet but what a turbo-charged money-spinner it could be!! (Sorry couldn't help myself!)

So many of our companies are small and have niche products. They do not have broad across the board sales. The bulk of our marketing will be targeted and focused. Almost impossible to judge the amount TPG do. However if you look at the revenue growth over the last 4/5 years we must be doing something right! Shame about the lack of profits though. Maybe a less diverse company is the way forward?

Hi NotMuchinSales. Thank you for your post and happy to move on. The only caveat I have with CG, and I've posted this before, is the habit of announcing orders/contracts more than once. On the plus side the guy just keeps going and it is this persistence that that decided me to re-invest. Plus of course the prospect of a dollop of compo! Cheers.

Hi rsproson, Yes the main hurdle we have to overcome is the failure of the then Kosovar government to assist us with what we say was an illegal snatch back at Malesheva quarry. It's obviously quite complicated. Any compensation will be negotiated on the impact the exclusion had on our revenue and what the knock-on effect of that was. Stone Alliance could even be brought in to the calculation! Very torturous I think but my money is on Denton being right which is why I've recently topped-up.

It is not unusual for no-win-no-fee arrangements to have a provision for the solicitors out of pocket expenses to be paid by the litigant. Hence the .5 Mill payment. The solicitor then shoulders all of their own costs. It's quite simple really if they lose they lose their Fee. Can't quite see why NotMuch can't understand that. Or perhaps he can't admit he's wrong?

Hi NotMuch, factually your post is incorrect. If you re-read the TM article you will see that the fund raise echoes the Fox RNS. Both specifically state the reason and I quote from the TM article.

"Fox is claiming for damages of more than €195m to compensate for the cost of its development of the quarry and lost revenues. Significantly, the company has secured a no-win no-fee agreement with Denton’s and it has concluded a £1.05m fundraise to cover all costs that might be incurred in the course of the arbitration process. "

Fox will be required to expend considerable resources dealing with Dentons. The £1.05 Mill raise will help Fox deal with these such as time, mileage and travel costs to attend meeting perhaps plus office and wage costs. Nothing to do with Dentons who are operating on a no win no fee basis. Dentons have received 0.5 Mill which you have described as a loan - possibly to Fox? That is all they will get.

Every year I say something similar! When Kirkham announced the 3 new reactors and new premises some 18 months ago he mentioned an inflection point. Looking at the overall situation we are in an excellent position. H1 year end could see Airbus approval at Longlands coupled with new orders on the A330 and A320. This should give a real lift to H2. There is a possibility that H2 could even be profitable if the Oil price stays up. There is also the possibility of other orders such as Leonardo coming foreword.

The bellwether for me is always the announcement of new reactors. There is room for 2 /3 more reactors at Longlands and of course there is 1 already at the old site. I just wonder if when we do order new reactors for Longlands whether they might be the larger ones and the old Bicklands one goes stateside. We might need a new large pretreatment line but testing for Turbine blades is moving on and there was an intention to test for Landing Gear. We may need larger production facilities in future. The BoD is always looking ahead so I'm pretty certain that configuration of three large reactors and two large pretreatment lines would at least be a design consideration.

I think this year to September will see an expansion of customers and products and at long last a much clearer picture to future profits which will of course have to be spent on reactors and new UK premises! Of course by then we'll need new reactors in the US and then new premises, Oh! did somebody mention Asia?

Just had another swatch. Fatal! Just done a small top-up at 30p. The 11% spread is a bit of a bummer. My thinking is that cometh the spring cometh the sales. Oh well as always time will tell. Mind you I've been saying that about Hardide for more years than I care to remember. This time next year Rodney!

4 Million passengers in any given year! not since lockdown! Mainly flies to holiday destinations so going to be a while yet to get back to 4 Mill - if ever. Love to know the current throughput!
