WW,
None of us have the answers, but you say that £1.3m is exiting the business, at the moment the acquisition has been made with shares at 5p, there are two ways those shares can turn into cash exiting the business,
1. They forward sold the shares and that will now be covered with shares at 5p.
2. They intend to sell the shares (or have started selling their holding down) since the announcement.
In the case of 1. I f that is the case then the shares have already been sold and once they get the acquisition shares they will want to see the price rise back again as they are back as shareholders.
For 2. they are taking a risk of crushing the SP and getting little back of the 1.3m the shares were issued for, they are currently 40% below that level.
Also there could be some merit in the technology and it's further uses by MRSS and Bachmann, so there is something in return for the shares. However the worst thing that could be, is that they have overpaid for something in shares, so that would have diluted all shareholders, that too has already happened as the market has taken that into account. So on most grounds the worst that could happen already has, yes we know what a bunch of corrupt *****s they are but they will need the price to rise to increase any future trading profits.
