Yes, that is one story. Let me try and explain what I am trying to understand. I think one of their contracts is with Pepsi. So, if sports events are cancelled and people stop going out to pubs, clubs, cinemas, bowling etc surely there is an impact. The leisure sector Is one that has been hit really hard this week....and it means by default that less stock will be consumed. That’s just one example of what I am trying to think about when looking at this stock. I am genuinely not a deramper.....I am trying to fight my way through the various cries of 15p, 20p, 30p etc and attach a level of risk based on now, not last year. I would hope others buying this have also investigated hence the original question. Anyway, as you say it’s my decision what I end up doing but GLA either way. Just trying to seek opinions to a discussion board.

Ok, thanks for this. I get all the facts about last year, but this week has turned things upside down somewhat. I have seen some of the stats about shipping volumes and they are scary, so for now let’s assume there is less to move. So, how much cash do they have ready to cope with any fluctuations in volumes - maybe none of us know the answer, but being honest that is the bit I am trying to get comfortable with. It may well be the bargain of the century, but reassurance of what is happening now might be useful too? Anyway, I will carry on trying to explore!

Hi all. Not sure if anyone can help here as nobody was able to reply earlier. I can see a lot of price predictions on this, and I am attempting to try and match this with the actual business and all the information in some of the recent RNS. Not a ramp/de-ramp, a genuine question - what is their ability to cope with a downturn -i.e what spare cash do they have? The market fully expects supply chain issues and demand issues, and many industries are al;ready experiencing a downturn such as shipping. Businesses will need cash to cover their fixed costs, so how well is ES placed to handle? No bashing replies please, it’s a genuine question give the current climate and the projected downturn in the economy from the virus. Historic revenue will be under threat and drop in oil prices is because of demand dropping surely? All IMO...

Hi all. There is clearly a lot of confidence here based on posts. I have done a fair amount of research but there is one thing on my mind I am struggling to fully understand.....which is that I am trying to see how well placed they are, with cash reserves, to weather a serious downturn in business as a result of the virus. Oil is down because of the threat to consumption, shipping volumes are already down, and surely this will impact ES? I am not knocking it at all, but forget historic revenue because the whole economic forecast has changed significantly in 5 days...so what makes this so undervalued? Genuine post and all IMO.

The market has been priced based on sustained performance. Whilst I too like BOWL, the reality is that the virus brings a real threat to certain parts of the travel and leisure industry - anywhere where large groups of people would typically come together. Trying to predict the scale of this impact, IMO, is pretty much impossible right now as I personally feel there is more news to follow. That said, it enables us each to make Our own predictions and make purchases at prices we feel represent good value for the future in quality businesses. GLA and all IMO. PS - I was previously a holder and will be a buyer when I am comfortable with the risks/reward.

Personally, I think we will see a flurry of activity in the O&G sector in the next 12-18 months if oil stays at or even below $50 per barrel. It becomes pretty much loss making for some producers at this level, and there are firms with significant levels of debt that will struggle to service it. That will enable the larger firms deeper pockets to regain some of the purchasing power/control, and I do include RDS in that. There will be some tasty bargains that will provide some margin relief for them. All IMHO but we are all different and have different views and investment strategies, which is right.

I share your pain re Hx. The system has been down 3 times in 3 months. They remind you that you can execute over the phone, which would be great if it wasn’t for the 15 minute queue because the on-line system is down. I asked them whether they realised why it was time critical.......silence! Also asked why they couldn’t put a message on the site that explains the system is down....they say they will flag this up.....every month! Anyway, I guess they all have issues so it’s about having a few accounts to cover.

Loving this. Purchased mine Sept 2019 for 2.2. have some tucked away in the kids ISAs too. May top slice a little but intend to let the majority ride. Happy to take the risk on this one due to the potential reward. GLA and happy weekend!

Interesting seeing all the differing views on CNBC. FDA and WHO being allowed into China is a good sign, They are going to throw whatever it takes at this to save both lives...and the world economy of which China is clearly key.
Being honest, I have no idea how this translates into NCYT share price, but what’s clear now is that there should be nothing held back in cracking the spread of this virus., and I would assume making approved, quick response test kits available as needed is important. Like i say, no idea what it means for the financials but the sentiment to solve is now right.

Also still have a good buffer of unused PPI provision. Will be interesting to see how much of it ends up being used when all cases resolved.....although clearly the overall cost has been huge.

Flava. Ordinarily I would agree with you. However, having traded this today for a rather boring 20%, and continued to monitor, it’s been incredibly difficult to buy and very easy to sell when I have been trying. Normally the other way round for an AIM stock with this type of rise. Anyway, I have no idea where it goers from here but it’s been pretty much NT to buy for the last 4 hours. GLA to all those benefitting from the journey.

Hi all. This is obviously a very unique situation. I purchased last week and admit I have just sold 25%. Why - well, it’s not because I don’t think this has much further to go, because it probably does. I also recognise the potential implications that the rapid increase brings in terms of the speed of the spread of the virus. The reason I have done this is that I recognise that behind this spread there will likely be some tragic stories of fellow humans. So, it you feel like it, maybe look out for an opportunity to help someone who may be on the receiving end of why this share is doing so well....even if it’s only a small amount, don’t underestimate how much a little help might mean to someone else. There we are, that’s why I did it. GLA, especially those who end up needing to be tested with these kits.

Loving the fact I too am back in profit. Already been open on here and said I am keeping hold of them. Know what made me buy in originally and stand by my original purchase. The wind is changing from a headwind to a tailwind in my opinion.

Well....after a very long time I have finally got back to break even on this share! Wasn’t sure the day would come on occasions but kept going back to why I invested in the first place! On that basis I remain invested, because otherwise there would have been no point in investing in the first place. Too much positive news to leave now! GLA.
