it’s April and May 2021 that the market will be interested in. Q2 2020 is already known - it’s Q4 and 2021 that’s of interest. IMO

I hold 2 sets of GAN with different brokers....and neither account showing they have landed on UK soil yet! Seems to have a struggle breaking through $15 so needs some more great news to blast past.

DR - the market is being driven by the Modena vaccine results. Could be a real game changer - worth a read. The key word is ‘could’, but if there is a path through this health crisis the markets will like it. DOW spiked from 200 up to 700 up on the news. Still a way to go. Some will still feel there is a short term trade and others will be happy with their investment and prepared to leave for the longer term without worrying about 20-30p here or there. Everyone has a different strategy. Good luck and all IMO.

I don’t think anything goes in a straight line, and I never try and catch the bottom - otherwise I would need to be able to commit to this pretty much full time. To be honest, I am more news driven than just price alone. Today’s news potentially shines a light at the end of the tunnel and that is what markets need - it brings hope. There is little hope priced in for 2020 right now. Could it go cheaper again, well yes, if I got it right all the time as many claim to do, I would not be messing around with markets, I would be retired and having a blast! However, I think there is a future for CCL based on recent news and thus 50p here or there will not make a huge difference in years to come. Others will have a very different opinion which is good too. For every seller there has to be a buyer.

Likely to be the news about Moderna. It’s potentially a game changer for the travel industry - but the gamble is that it all goes to plan from here. Not an expert, but apparently the antibodies in patients from their vaccine were at a higher level than those who have had the virus. Some side effects were experienced, but apparently along the lines of what can be seen from the flu jab. Please research it for yourself as it might be a pretty important piece of news .Phase 3 trials July I believe.

Personally I think the Banks situation was very different. Government wanted to make it clear that the Banks were in a good position from a capital perspective and ready to lend. Paying a dividend at that point could have been a risk - so it was a ‘polite’ request. For me it was the message it was sending to the country more than anything else. I am sure from a capital perspective they could have paid them without an issue - but it’s just my opinion.

Mike84 - I will let someone else answer that. I stay away from such opinions normally. Without knowing people’s individual circumstances and strategies that is impossible to answer I have both traded some today and retained a core holding. The Moderna news today could be a real game changer - but the key is the work ‘could’ - with phase 3 trials not until July a lot could happen by then. Whatever you decide I wish you well.

It would be great to see it continue. Can’t trade it anyway right now as like everyone else, the allocation is somewhere over the Atlantic. The one thing I have in the back of my mind is how the terrible healthcare issues will impact on many of the other states considering their gaming laws. Understandably it won’t be priority for them. That said, I would have thought the institutions were fully aware of this when they agreed to participate in the capital raise. I suppose the next few months will show how they are progressing with existing contracts. I would love to see it continue. Not too many great successes in my PF right now! GLA.

Don’t think they had much choice. Everything I have been reading has been suggesting a fair number of countries aren’t too keen on travellers from the UK because of the infection rate....so, may as well make it the same. That said, it perhaps would have been more useful about 5 weeks ago.....but I am not a medical expert and can only assume it was not implemented for a reason. Would be interesting to understand why ‘now’ is the right time to introduce.

PP1. You made me check my account with your post......my buy which was actually an ‘at best’ that went through in June 2015 for 28.1850p. I remember feeling a little annoyed about having to request an ‘at best’ trade and feeling worried I had paid over the odds! I have sold a few for a variety of reasons but still have a fair chunk left. It’s a great company and is clearly run by people who get this business. I recon AI is going to help take this to another level, it’s still early days but I am sure BOO will make it pay. It’s actually quite staggering to hear what AI could actually do. Being honest, I am probably not as close to all the financials as I should be on this one, but seeing as I don’t intend to sell I cast my eyes over performance as opposed to some of the other stocks I hold where I feel the need to be all over the numbers like a rash, hence I don’t really feel I have enough current knowledge to add much to this board. Thanks for those that do help with some research which can be useful and GL to those invested.

Some of the commentary I have heard is that cruise lines benefited from the apparent appetite for even Norwegian to receive support in the markets should it need cash. Seems like they want to support most demands for cash in the US. One day they were a going concern and the next day there was apparently financial support if needed! Once that kicked in, apparently there was also some short covering too. So, not sure this is where the market is yet fully pricing, and whether there will be a further drop once the dust settled again. It seems to be in a fairly tight range right now and not sure there is enough to help it break that on a more permanent basis. I have a small holding at circa £9, but also have a fairly tight stop if it does start to fall again as not a big expert on he cruise market. However, it has a huge and rather loyal following.

Well, I said about a week ago I would be waiting until I started hearing better news before I started to add. Made my first little top up on Thursday. Yes, there is a long way to go, and I think a big debate is looming with regards to paying for traveller health checks pre flights...temperatures, PPE etc. Clearly travellers need to get to and through airports, but it wouldn’t surprise me if some this cost landed with the carriers. Anyway, I added a bit because I started to hear more talk about what will be put in place to reopen the economies as opposed to everything being about lockdown. The change in sentiment is only the first part, but it’s encouraging to hear. I am under no illusions about the challenges that still lie ahead, hence wanting to add in stages, but I also don’t expect to catch the bottom. Will certainly be an interesting few months. I think the reality of the Summer season disappointment is priced now. GLA.

Yup, going to take a while for all the admin to catch up. Apparently some NASDAQ stocks can be ISA eligible but it’s down to the companies involved. I am going to assume this one won’t be. Maybe someone can post when their new GAN shares show up so we can get a feel for how long it might take. Slight dip into the close yesterday but I suspect management are very pleased with the first few days. Hopefully a lot of news will follow.

Good to know the money is in the system. Knowing my sharedealing service I will be able to use it for Xmas needs! I mean...it’s not like any of us really need cash right now of course.......

Yup, checked with my broker yesterday and funds have not been received from BILL yet. They only check every 5 days so not concerned yet. Only headache for me is that it messes up my dividend options slightly as I have had to select ‘cash’ to all dividends to ensure this is not reinvested. It may be that the delay is to ensure the de-list happens at the same time. Would hate for anyone to make the mistake of an automatic reinvestment and then find it delisted.

It’s hard not to look everyday! Shares removed from ISA this morning.....so currently somewhere in the air....no idea when they will reappear, but not planning on selling anyway. GLA and well done to the GAN team who certainly seem to have managed this very well and have made the transformational move.

Woodstock - no idea who that was aimed at but let me remind you of one thing.....you too started with one post. Delighted for you that you consider yourself to be well versed. I read a lot of negativity for people with low volume posts....be very silly to think that by default it means they are not ‘well versed’ as you put it. yes, varying degrees of fact and fiction come out, but it’s called a democracy for a reason too. Personally I have been here since the start of Jan and Am very happy with the progress.
