As is stands there’s not really a load to love in the results. Key will be what they look like in 6-12 months to demonstrate this transformational situation.....

It’s an interesting one. As a side issue, there is an increasing demand from investors, especially younger investors, that their funds be invested in ‘responsible’ funds. This will influence where some of the big funds invest the future. The world is changing and BP want to be part of it. All IMO. I am invested here and added earlier today. GLA.

Well done on Web. I sold out at about 1.8. To be honest, I am still not sure on it but it’s up and down like a .......so a reliable trading share. I was happy with what I took out, so happy to leave some for the next person.

GAN trading update this week, so a pretty important week for holders I feel.

Interestingly I was watching something yesterday. Basically, way more profit holding overnight and trading right at the start/end of the day than trading during the day. Maybe it’s where I have been going wrong!.

Keep an eye on the DOW...gains today look to have halved.

Completely agree with you RTN. As I always say, Covid 19 did not really exist in the UK when I invested in Jan and I was still excited by what this might do. They just happened to walk into a set of circumstances that put some rocket fuel under them.

This sure can move quickly in both directions. I agree there are more big movements to come before the dust settles a little.

I added at 11.72 yesterday and sold for 13.03 when I saw the Dow futures come off a little. Won’t get rich but keeps me ticking over. and covers me if I get it wrong next trade......which might easily happen!

The only people rewarded in this business are the Execs. Shockingly poor Share price performance over 5 years......unless you had a short!

Perhaps. However, I have a core stock holding that I leave in certain stocks. I then have some money that I like to have a ‘bit of fun with’ if I feel it is a decent opportunity. Why, well I do not have an infinite pot. Some I have a core holding for and still trade a bit which can add to my core holding.
I guess even Mr B does not do as he says because he would not have exited airlines at their recent lows. Not even the guru gets it right all the time.....and I am far from a guru at this or I would not be here.

Keep a close eye on the DOW. Projected open now up 600 points hence FTSE is strong.....but it can change really quickly. Volatility rules at present.

Try and avoid FOMO. I have a core holding but then buy the dips and sell into rises. Each time I leave a little bit extra in my core holding. Personally I would advise against carried away. Economically it’s still tough and travel is still a tough market. £2.50 was ok. I look at potential upside v potential downside risk and then buy/sell accordingly. That said, if I was that good at it I would be retired and on my yacht......and I am most certainly not either! It’s your money so only ever do what you feel ok with!

Got some on the bell this morning for 60.5. Now wishing I had purchased rather more. Had traded previously but now intend to leave......famous last words of course! Summer drinks outside.......come on sun!

The DOW is down 1500. Very possible we will see a further drop. Hopefully we are just readjusting quickly. There is a view that retail investors developed a FOMO....which then drive stocks way above real value for the current climate. Worst possible thing now is that they sell....the old buy high sell low. Personally I can see the 2-2.50 range for a while as we wait to see whether demand picks up. I am adding as I offloaded on the way up....but think I will get some at a lower price. All IMO. Still like IAG.

I’m afraid the opposite is playing out. Infection rates in parts of the US have started rising. Not only is this a concern in itself, but it’s causing other States to delay coming out of lock-down. This will all have a knock on. It’s a ‘heads you win tails I loose situation’. In some ways hardly surprising.....plenty of people out and about seemingly under the impression everything is over from what I am seeing.

Yup, this is going to be bumpy. US infection rates are becoming a concern again and the market is now starting to price in this risk as opposed to ignore it. I recon next few days will show us whether it is just a correction or a longer term bear. If you believe your research and were happy to buy higher, then in theory you would be happy to hold at a lower price.

Looking like an open down about 650. Most airlines predicted to open down over 10% so will be interesting to see if further drops for UK airlines. An increase in people being tested positive is causing a fair amount of concern, even though you would hope countries are better equipped for an increase. Next few days will tell us if this is a temporary correction or something longer term IMO.
