True Eatstocks, they do need to reduce production costs, but if it still costs more to get it out of the ground than they can sell it for, they're flogging a dead horse. V pricing appears to have stabilised at a low price, despite rampers telling us that demand is outstripping supply!
I think everyone that's invested over the last 5 years is down! The new CEO cannot control V pricing, so profitability is to a large extend out of his hands.
That's not going to help much if they couldn't make money on last years prices will it!
Just for balance:
V pricing - Pittsburgh - 180 days - down 7.89%
There sure is, some people have been ramping this for years now, overseeing an ever falling share price.
Those prices do not bode well, and however Pdub tries to spin it with chemical sales, these only make up a small proportion of revenue.
HMHG, should have kept quiet! Does go to show though that Pub is reading filtered posts...
Codejunkie, investing is about making the correct decision at the correct time. CC may have previously considered the price to be overvalued but now feels it is good value. This is in fact the right way to invest rather than just sitting on a share in a long steep decline. LTHs haven't exactly shown themselves to be the shrewdest of investors on this particular share, maybe CC is just that bit smarter than you!
Pdub "I have posted this info before" - please stop spamming this board them
Am I missing something, when I was at school there was 2.2 lbs to a kg?
The due diligence on the re-financing would have taken into account forecast production levels given by Bushveld, now this has been reduced this will impact future cash flows and therefore the ability to repay on the proposed terms. Perhaps this is what is causing the delay in the re-financing being agreed and Orion are relooking at the deal. Just my opinion.
Harchris - "If anything what these results prove is that the investment case the likes of Pdub and I have been pushing holds true, all we needed to see was guidance being met and profits were going to be rather significant"
Guidance was not met, profits (if any) are not going to be significant - how can you claim that your investment case holds true, you are simply deluded!
Now that the dust is settling down, people might take time to reflect on the posts on this board over recent months. Some posters have been telling us on a daily basis that operational progress is improving and production would be well up.
It's plain for all to see that this clearly wasn't the case. All I request is that you bear this in mind when those responsible for these posts claim the same again, which they no doubt will, unless based on actual facts rather than opinions. Trust no one unless you can verify their claims with facts.
A shame $ to £ has weakened by almost 10% this year, this is far more important as sales are made in $ and translated into £ for the accounts, this will more than wipe out any gains from a weakening ZAR. Just my opinion,DYOR
The punt is will Bushveld run out of cash before any potential rise?
For all the supposed increase in demand, US prices, Bushveld's most important market are as follows:
Latest -0.29%
30 days -0.55%
60 days 0.03%
90 days -0.05%
6 months -9.79%
12 months -11.78%
Maybe the cub scouts could release a new range of "I've filtered" badges for Pdub and friends so they can sow them on their arm sleeves, one for each person they've filtered. They could compare their badges with great excitement!
Which electrolyte contracts are you referring to Pdub? None have been announced
Because Pdub and Harchris keep telling them it's all going to be great one day, and people believe them for some bizarre reason!
Interesting that their solid-state battery only uses 1/10th of the vanadium that a VRFB does. Guess it will all come down to price in the end.
"The features of their vanadium solid-state batteries can be highly disruptive to the stationary battery market and potentially the EV market space. According to MK Plus's corporate presentation, their vanadium solid-state battery provides higher desired performance at a lower cost over vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFB) in the large capacity battery market, claiming their battery:
1) Rapidly charges in minutes (C-rate of between 100 and 300 versus C-rate of 20 in VRFB), achieving massive charging speeds 100 times faster.
2) Uses one tenth of the amount of vanadium that VRFB use for an equivalent charge.
3) Has +100,000 deep cycle life without heat dissipation (no fire risk) or degradation (long life)."
