Well I hope they’ve learned from their mistakes with the merger of cable and wireless. There’ll be a whole load more ‘talent refresh’ going on is my bet.

I’m guessing here but the same design and build team would be used for part of the SMR capability, should that ever come to fruition. I would imagine the new leadership will keep the whole thing pretty lean and flat in structure?

All helps, that’s £83m a year gross. What profit margin are they working on, 5, 10, 20% ?

Every time I look the vast majority of sales look like small investors buying and selling. Very little sign of the big boys buying back in, yet. It’s a shame as part of the AGM there wasn’t more flesh on the bone regarding the restructuring even though it’s early days, might just have held off a bit of the negative sentiment. Absolutely agree the dumb ass war in Ukraine once looking like a settlement of some description will silence the markets, though I’m inclined to think the banking turmoil in the US carries a large part of the burden.

IAG are predicted to go to £3 and will get there I predict before RR just because they get money in the door daily, both I believe will get there. On the other hand RR have a good model in good times, but will lag because they’re clock watching to a large extent. Hope that makes sense.

At opening it would seem potential good news had been built in.

Maybe RR will start buying back once the profits roll in? I doubt it but they have a debt which is reasonably normal based on their order book, though less is more and any accountant wanting to correct me is welcome.

Seen it so many times, new guy comes in and there’s a clash of style and out goes some of the old guard. My guess is that Tuffy wasn’t impressed with pricing, style /speed of delivery or speed of development and the rest they say is history. SMR has to make money and is against the clock in development of the generator side from a regulatory position with 2 American companies sniffing at contracts. Just my guess, but this really could be the gravy train if it’s got right.

Nepotism at as senior level is very very common in my experience. Big Boss joins and following on fairly quickly are his trusted lieutenants, known quantities from a successful previous life.
As a shareholder I don’t care as long as it’s a successful partnership and our share price becomes investment grade pdq.

Anything Shapps is involved in usually a massive **** up. But here’s hoping that they announce something a little more concrete than a MOU or ITP unless the latter comes with a gold plated signature

AGM in May and that’ll be more guidance. It should be higher, yes exceptionally frustrating, but we’ve had a good run so far this year. Banking crisis will settle hopefully and spring will also hopefully bring some sense in Ukraine.
