Anyone invested in what's termed 'unethical' stocks can't really comment, yes we're making gains from the misery in this world, ever has been the case. When you have strong willed people with different views at the top, insistent that theirs is the correct view, peace in this world is very fragile. Only by balancing arms on both (all) sides can we hope for a form of peace, hence investing in security in this form.

I write only because personally I'm here for investment views, not politics or discussions on other investments unless there's a link.

Don't forget they'll likely get the maintenance contract as well as the spares. My guess is a similar model to the rest of the business and opportunity to be THE operator of UK Nuclear unless they give the contract to EDF, which in my mind would be bonkers, but we're talking UK politics.

Ethics is a strange thing, the young and liberal think all war is unethical but don't really understand history, yes it's monstrous but there's always been someone after something someone else has and usually takes it from the weaker. They have been so cosseted at school (no loosers) that they don't get the "stand up to bullies", that and best part of 80 years without a major conflagration.

RE SMR is in a consortium, Lange O’Rouke is the their partner for the design and build of the concrete structures. They have a very interesting ability to produce concrete structures ‘mass’ produced.

Looks like Sheffield Forgemasters can produce the pressure vessels ….. there’s Middle East money in there too. It’s certainly always going to be a risky venture, but also a potentially very profitable one two with repair and maintenance contracts as well. That’s how I’ve read it, but someone more knowledgeable than me will likely correct me

Great news for RR and for the local economy in each city. Shame our inept politicians don’t get the job creation = less on benefits = more tax take especially as these will be well paid jobs. There’d be lots more investment opportunities too! Still it’s looking like another good day, so far

A large part of BAE's customer base isn't our MOD fortunately so don't see anything other than a slow drift up to my target £15 based on the size of the current order book. It would be great for BAE, BAB and RR if this useless bunch would smell those coffee beans cooking!

Garonne - Unfortunately the last 10 years has been due to incompetent senior leadership. I was there (VFUK) until 7 years ago, nothing appears to have changed and the share price has gone backwards, high prices, poor delivery and average network, it's USP has gone. As a shareholder (and pensioner holder) I'm very sure it will recover once it gets a leader like RR has gained.

It's a company mired in politics, politics that varies in every OPCO, each of which seems to think the'yre right and the others wrong. It's fixed line element was lead by the failed management teams from Thus/Energis who failed to deliver when they were outside and inside it was just power play.

Rep - the young (as would we to an extent) would be stuffed if the data centres closed for a couple of days, can charge phones but the telco networks wouldn’t stand up for more than a few hours without power. They (data centres) don’t store enough diesel for many hours let alone days, except the gas gen sets.
