The obvious choice for me is to stop the punishment of oil companies in the North Sea and to ‘encourage’ them to invest in low carbon Nuclear in the UK, rather than dumping it into the general taxation pot. Broadly for every £m invested in UK nuclear, RR SMR of course, they reduce their tax bill accordingly. They get green credits as well.

You do make a valid point especially when it doesn't take much investigation to find a couple of sources that quote fair value of around £8.80 even with the current debt, declining sales factored in. Not that I can see declining sales, those negativities should drop out with the results on the 1st August

We're just shy of an 8% rise in the last month, replicate that between now and Feb and we hit the magic 7, unless WW3 or another plague hits us.

At least we're technically no longer regarded as penny stock having passed the $5.00 by a margin as we're currently around $6.00. Not that we fit in the category penny stock category by a margin, though I suppose the debt situation whilst improving (daily?) must weigh down some organisations view of the value of RR. We're generally an optimistic bunch on here.

Fordm you do make some very valid points. This isn’t a place for political views it’s a trading forum. That said I’ll just make a point from personal experience re immigration and it’s a fault of government, regulations and companies.

I worked in the mobile comms world. From the early 2000’s I witnessed and experienced huge offshoring and a huge influx of immigrants. The businesses deliberately cut first perks, then salaries and then jobs. Lots of very clever engineers were replaced by people from Eastern Europe then India, then the good old PIGS. My salary therefore stayed the same from 2002 through to my being made redundant in 2017, I wasn’t alone, indeed my overall package dropped 35% as bonuses disappeared. Running projects became a nightmare, mainly due to different work ethics and language issues and yes sometimes cultural. I know many many far better engineers than me who were consigned to the scrap heap, not because they couldn’t be retrained but because a. Cost b. Culture changes. Many of those engineers never worked again, not their fault. It’s not the popular view of immigrants taking low paid service jobs, these these were roles paying £50-100k in 2004 terms, not low paid at all

Our governments have allied themselves to France energy wise, we under invest in our own and buy energy from them at high cost when our wind, solar is low and importantly when they're late delivering the Nuclear plant. They are massively late and over budget, yet we'll still cow to them for many reasons. Labour want us back in the EU, they'll likely play to the french tune in the hope that they'll sort immigration for us, that the French will suddenly become our political friends.

You make a valid point. A someone who used to work on bids, many companies don't always tell the whole truth shall we say. Baked into the price is an amount for 'liquidated' damages when they can't do what the bid states or in the case like this the assumption that the tax payer will pick up the tab! If the development works in their favour the profits are huge, if not they're still meeting their profit margin.

Depends on sentiment after results in August, certainly as we're currently at 460ish and slowly climbing towards that date, it seems a long way, but it's really not inconceivable that we get (depending on results and any more global gotchas) close to 600 by the end of August. If we achieve that then there's a real possibility by the end of feb 25 we'll be close to those numbers

As has been reported this is, if we're correct, a known problem. It may be connected with some further negotiations and therefore a simple business tactic. For us any slight blip will present a buying opportunity maybe below £4.60, but with August rapidly coming our way I feel sure it'll be a blip.

On that basis I've just sold some EZJ shares that have been going nowhere and put in a buy on the hope that RR will blip down for a very short period and banking EZJ won't take off.

Shareflyer - absolutely! Strangely enough that’s what I did sometime ago. RR, BAe, BaB and did have QQ. Though the latter I sold out a bit early and missed the recent bump
