Please, please, please stop. This isn’t a political site, even though politics affects us all. I and many are here for snippets of insight re trading this great share. Between the constant drip of AZ articles that may or may not be current and this constant infighting the site has become tedious and boring.

Whether to hold will depend on the budget, sounds possible limit on ISA’s. There will always be another subsidiary investment vehicle, just siphon off the top. No point in panicking.

RR - On forward PE MF would agree, though when you look at the company they'd be keeping in those PE ranges they'd be in very good company. I'm personally hanging in there as I think there's more sunny uplands, though not quite those indicated by PF

Well I've no idea how this algorithm works, been tracking it loosely for a while and thus far we're sort there or thereabouts. I have big doubts because I've no idea about the algorithm, believe it or not, if you do peak sunny uplands await around june 2026. But then I'm way ahead of where I was 5 years ago on this investment journey and am very happy.

SMR would be able to feed a cluster of data centres, if you look at say east London there’s a massive cluster within spitting distance of each other. Limiting factors today apart from the security aspect is the density of the power requirements.

As someone who was historically involved in the whole data centre game, it's far from an uncommon issue to not have enough grid capacity for the HV supplies nor to be diversely fed. Sure there's some battery backup and standby gen sets but the problem is pretty massive, enclosed spaces using massive amounts of power, creating heat that needs to be chilled. People have no idea how un green our modern digital life is.

Having been (now retired) in the data centre design and build business, this is the most logical of developments. Power density has been growing so fast that energy grids, diverse HV supplies and standby generators can’t easily keep up. This will and should be encouraged by governments reduce the impact on domestic supplies. Though of course the rise of EV’s kind of negate that as does the shift away from gas heating.

I’m on HL and it’s pretty clunky I find, also I’d like to pull the data into a database direct and live to create my own graphs. Obviously there are quite a few data sources but all historical (15min late) and you can pull the data very easily, well I can’t anyways.

Just wondering if anyone uses the live data feed on here and whether they find the paid for element worthwhile?

Absolutely agree sell on a Friday high and take a calculated risk on a Monday drop in the first hour of trading. The share is doing so far just what it did in the latter half of last week, drop on open, claw back as the day passed. Be great to pass 5xx today, not saying in case I jinx anything!!

The one sell rating is Berenburg with a price of 240, I think the consensus is to ignore that lowball. They for some reason, best known to themselves have a real downer on RR, like JPM.

When you look at the forecast curve against the actual price over the last couple of years the actual price leads forecast by almost a year.

On a cash flow basis based on current figures (ye 2923) the company fair value forecast is roughly 11.50 per share, we’ve moved on quite a bit since then financially. Happy to be corrected by those more astute than me.

My personal opinion is that whilst there’s some European contractual interest the price, apart from a few pence of sentiment isn’t baked in. Until there’s a UK commitment and there’s a visible increase in profit attributed to SMR production we won’t that much of a change. A clear statement in November and a good financial statement in Feb carries way more weight at this point in time.

SMR is still pie in the sky, hopefully it’ll hit the ground with custard and cream in the fullness of time.

Transmission. Great articles thank you. My personal perspective is that carbon reduction is best dealt with at source so can’t help but feeling that some or all of that 22bn would be better spent developing source reduction's (SMR) rather than mop up solutions which are also unproven. But then I know not a lot in that area.
