I have commented before many times about the pore performance of the CEO. She has gone - didn’t understand the business or retail - bring back Matt Davis o4 the previous CEO as they really understand retail and this business. She/they have failed to realise that there’s a serious competitor out there - Jolleys and this is affecting sales. Having visited more than 36 stores in the last 3 months in the SE and NW I make the following observations- My actions would be recuse by1/3 the overpaid fancy titled Execs in Manchester, the store managers to do meet and greet roles at their stores at peak days and times, improve the till manning at stores - always a gue and only only one till manned. Improve the level of staff experience at store level - employ and pay better people. Distribution - get that fleet working 24/7 not standing for 12 hrs every 24 - go back to how it used to be!! On the store front - out of the 36 stores I visited only one appeared to be running correctly(Braintree) all the stores appeared to be were stocked. Most stores required the front store apron and entrances clearing - Bishop Storford was appalling, the staff in Sevenoaks appeared in half dead!! Let’s watch this space.
