RE: Innovation in every drop23 Apr 2026 08:36
Rebalm, that theory came from Ashman which we can all agree should be taken with a pinch of salt. Hishda (senior marketing Croda) stated last year after launch that Zenakine and Matrixyl were not in competition.
Regarding the planet and sustainability Croda research and other research would disagree with your view but we could argue that all day.
Matrixyl went green last year with Matrixyl 3000glyx (but not 100% green). Matrixyl Neolide is just a new delivery system from what I can see, it is greener, natural origin content 99.79% but when processed drops to 83.88% (Zenakine is 100%). Zenakine is still the clear leader in the green department.
We also know that Skinbiotix does reduce wrinkles but they aren’t going to step on Matrixyl’s toes just yet, that is why they have marketed it the way they have, it will be a slow transition, you cant swop diehard users that quickly, its commercial suicide. Regarding sleeping tablets thats your call.
If you compare the consumer benefits, Zenakine is a clear winner.
Matrixyl Neolide Consumer benefit:
Anti-ageing
Zenakine Consumer benefit:
Anti-ageing
Calming / soothing / redness
Environmental protection
Revitalising
Physiological balance
The investigation will be what it will be, no point second guessing like some, it just sends your brain down the wrong path.
Regarding Zenakine sales nobody knows, what we do know is, as shy points out, the chair gave us a mention, Croda have described it as “groundbreaking” and “redefining the future of neurocosmetics” they have just launched a new formulation, customers have launched in Europe and Asia and they have just rolled it out into North America. Just yesterday Croda stated beauty actives continued to deliver a strong performance, driven by renewed customer appetite for innovation (Zenakine is in that space), that doesnt sound like anyone is pulling any plugs, in fact quite the opposite.
