Where does all this money come from if not the expectation that Avacta will be profitable at some point?

I can buy a classic Rolls in the hope that at a later date someone will value it more than me or I can use it as a wedding car and get a steady return on my outlay.

It’s not rocket science. If you rely on valuing something on the expectation that someone else later on will value it at a higher price then at some point someone will get caught out. And there are examples (usually technology companies) today in plain sight.

Oh well. Perhaps later on. CC loves a Thursday RNS. Or perhaps no significant news until end September at least as I posted last month???

For once I agree with your analysis. It is also why calculations of Avacta’s worth are nigh on impossible. Yes estimates of income from AVA6000 and AVA6103 are possible within very wide limits but all of any profit will be required in R&D for future products. We are years off Avacta distributing a dividend. The IP has enormous potential value but is worthless to long term investors unless it manifests itself in profits and dividends. Yes we will get a good return when we sell in 2028 perhaps but I have a share portfolio that has been delivering 10 to 15% year on year for the last 30 years. Avacta is not going to make us millionaires.

I hope so. And I can’t be bothered trawling back through all the Avacta communications and BB posts to find the many pivotal periods and rerates we’ve been told to expect over the years. But this share has had more false dawns than a sc-fi movie🤣🤣🤣

Give your head a wobble. How many times have statements of pivotal this and exceptional that been posted over past five years and come to nothing. Yes I do expect to be much more comfortable with my investment by year end. But I really can’t see this share being say £10 anytime soon.

I can’t help thinking that Simon Bennett’s appointment was about a year too early knowing what we know now about CC’s projected timelines. But heh ho we are where we are.

You can hardly call me short term or impatient when I had acquired a sizeable holding up to 3 years ago and then just held on until a month ago when I nearly doubled that.

I do believe in the company and that’s why I bought more when the outlook fundamentally changed.

As for constant sniping. No it was posting a reasoned analysis given history and the facts to counter the ridiculous ramping.

Clearly they have in that they could have saved money over the last two years (like I have) and then invested that money last month and bought at least 5x the shares (like I have). Or even better made a profit elsewhere in the meantime and bought even more Avacta shares.

But you won’t have it. You were right and anyone who had a different view was a trouble maker.

Back when Bitcoin was about £3, being a nerd, I started Bitcoin mining, joined a syndicate and sold to a local trader. Initially I used a powerful graphics card but that was useless. So I bought specialist multiprocessor cards. However the price sank to around £2 and it was costing me more in electricity charges than I was mining. But at least I didn’t have to turn on the central heating!!

After 9 months, I sold the mining hardware but sadly also sold the few Bitcoins I had mined. Oh well we live and learn. 🤣

Do any of you rampers ever do real research and then analyse your position? I don’t mean just reading the nonsensical ambiguous communications from Avacta. I mean looking at the competition and the market generally and in particular looking at the company’s record so far.

Or do you just continually post what you wish would happen as fact? Being positive is one thing, but for heaven’s sake stay objective.

Quite a few selling at 45p might regret it😬
