Yes SP has doubled and you will tell me that is a significant rise, but in the context of Avacta it really isn’t. We were expecting north of £1 by end of year. That won’t happen without more results from P1b. So if believing what CC has predicted makes me dumb so be it.

We all have different investment aims. I’m not judgemental on that. But I always need to understand the risk/reward balance as it shifts. It is never good just to expect all the potential rewards will be met.

BTW efficacy is tested in Phase 2. We aren’t there yet. P1 has shown promising evidence of efficacy on a small scale that is why BP aren’t throwing money at us yet. How will you judge Avacta’s claims of efficacy? Do you have an independent source? Remember it’s the BoD’s responsibility to show Avacta in the best possible light. You have to read between the lines as to what they aren’t telling us. You can be sure that they are telling us all the good stuff.

And finally - it’s very easy to lose a lot of money very quickly but a lot more difficult to make a lot of money quickly.

But if you have money you can afford to lose then of course it’s up to you.

However if you are buying Avacta now for the first time, I would say that it looks like a good time to buy and you won’t have “wasted “ a lot of cash over the past 5 years like some of us have.

Don’t expect it to be a multibagger and some of the other hype on here. Look at other potential cancer treatments. HEMO has done well over past week.

I have posted similar sentiments before - dox is not a cure. But I do recognise that the mechanism can deliver other drugs to a target. And I believe that it is an excellent delivery mechanism for dox and potentially other drugs. But BP are in this for treatments over decades. And don’t seem to see AVA6000 as “sexy”.

Nonetheless I am still expecting a decent return on my investment.

I don’t subscribe to the view that chemo delivery mechanisms are old hat. And besides the technology at play here is capable of delivering other warheads as we well know. I think the issue is that AVA6000 etc does not produce a lasting result necessarily and the newer treatments do potentially promise a “cure” and that will continue to attract the big bucks.

Meanwhile I have temporarily switched some funds into HEMO and am nicely up, though expecting profit taking tomorrow to drop the SP a bit.
