Have to admit I bought some HEMO last week. Thought I was too late to the party because had to scrabble around to get funds together. Then SP dipped putting me in the red. But feeling very happy this morning and the next clinical results due any day could blow the fesking doors off.

It is unfair to Avacta but the big money is betting on the new sexy treatments.

Don’t know whether you have grandchildren or nieces/nephews coming up to make these sorts of decisions. But an ideal path is to get an organisation to sponsor you through college, often with a sandwich year working for them. They pay costs and provide practical experience and a job at the end if you’re good enough. Also probably won’t give you the scholarship in the first place if they don’t think you’re up to it. Saves a lot of debt, and dashed expectations etc

BTW I agree with you that nothing is substitute for good real life experience, some of which is making mistakes and learning from them.

University isn’t just book learning, besides Imperial Scalespace is in forefront of technology.

And, there is so much carp talked about AI , especially from people who have no practical experience of developing systems. AI isn’t just language based internet scrapers like CHATGPT. There is a whole world of applications outside of this. Applications that “learn”, that control systems far quicker than humans can react. But they are not new. Helicopters would be unfliable if it weren’t for “AI” systems developed in the 60s. But it wasn’t called AI then.

And finally before you knock back a snide comment. I had a team trained by Xerox in US and other leading AI companies back in the early 90s. We developed some small systems, but without today’s tools it wasn’t financially viable.

In other news, my Alma mater is top UK university again. Won’t interest many on here (present company excepted) as I detect little interest in further education going by the content of some posts and the resort to swearing when they run out of vocabulary.

CC made her timelines clear earlier this year. The “starting pistol” is publication of satisfactory P1b data. Satisfactory to BP. We might get a bit in an ESMO linked RNS which would see a nice spike in SP. So that is why I said no significant rise until October at least. But IMHO it will take the full publication of P1b TNBC results to see us above £1 and that is probably 1Q26 now.

Why do you continually predict a different timeline to CC based on nothing but wishful thinking?

I still maintain that there will be no significant (pivotal) rise in SP before October. I said this weeks back and was liberally abused. After last RNS included it’s legal backstop (whatever that means) I’m inclined to think there will be no inflection this year.

There is no team. Just experienced investors who continually assess the risk:reward balance of their investments rather than just spout baseless ramps that have turned out to be largely wrong (and costly if acted on) over the past 3 years.

CC clearly laid out her timelines at the beginning of the year. P1b results will be the trigger for any of the events that will be pivotal for Avacta and the SP.
