I said a bidding war would have started by now. Because BP would get Avacta now for far less than say in 12 months time. Also given the potential here, BP could take a punt with a good price that would hardly dent their coffers but would lock out their competitors from a mega income earner.

But it hasn’t happened.

For those who are so eager for an early takeover, if you had a vote, what would be the SP that would secure your vote? £10, £50, £100???

I still can’t see a bidding war happening, because it would have happened by now.

Sadly a Quick Look back through the history of posts on here will show several periods of uber hype generally by the same rampers and they all have ended in nothing or some more “promises “ of jam tomorrow. Given where we are and current SP, I really cannot see a mega takeover bidding war starting imminently.

Well as we know anything can happen with this company, so your view as good as any.

Hopefully not long now until we find out.

I have realised that whatever happens with our favourite biotech company, I am going to have to make some very important decisions and probably very quickly. At the risk of triggering the usual abuse - my thoughts:

We are expecting some unequivocal data regarding P1b. But is it in Avacta’s best interest to spell out the programme for the next 3 years?

If the data is excellent, but no deal quickly follows then a terrific spike will likely be followed by a terrific fall. How long do we wait for a deal? Wait until SGC data available, say 2Q25? Where will the SP be then?

So my ideal exit plan would be after a deal rockets the SP, though I might only cash in half my shares. I’m thinking that the SP would be around 250p. After that I don’t see much rise in SP for 18 months or so, including probably a dilution event.

What are other LTH’s views?

We wouldn’t have a company without the science. We won’t have a company without funding.

The risk/reward balance is excellent at the moment.

None of the small investors on here can do anything to affect the SP either up or down. No one is in the pay of anyone or working in teams. To say they are is ridiculously naive. The amigos do not wish ill will to the Pom Pom girls. It is the latter who fill this BB with potty mouthed vitriol when things don’t appear to be going their way.

Any money I make on this won’t deprive you or vice versa

And finally anyone on here who is invested for altruistic reasons is kidding themselves. If you really want to help cancer sufferers then give the money to an associated charity or better still volunteer with one. I have given my time to various charities over many years. It has been very rewarding and you meet some great people.

You obviously know the science but with your “cry baby” posts on here you are turning me into a bad person.

Often when the SP goes down people on here bleat “why oh why is our wonderful company so misunderstood?” If more rational investors then point out possible causes for the SP drop and the risks still to be overcome, then you and others spit their dummies out and turn to abuse. And finally: if you or IceCool make a good profit, I am delighted for you. Your holdings are relatively tiny so don’t impact me in anyway. You know that investing here is still risky and the ride will be turbulent for a good few months yet. So hurling abuse each time the SP drops is so petty.

You are acting so immaturely. Any experienced investor continually reviews their investments. It’s not like your favourite football team that you support for life. The timescales and progress predicted by Thorn and others has largely come to pass. And there was a fundamental change in Avacta’s outlook as signalled by the three amigos. This radically changed the risk/reward balance. So of course we waded in. Any savvy investor would have.

Jeez I’ve had to give my head a wobble. I’m ramping and BV is fudding 🤣🤣🤣

IMHO excellent P1b data is not priced in because:

1. If it was, the SP would be far higher

2. We’ve been let down so many times before, that nobody believes it until we get the hard data

3. Anyhoo it isn’t the P1b data itself that will start the re rate, it’s the resulting deal. Novartis aren’t going to sign on the dotted until the data is indisputable and in black & white.
