Avacta has a novel technology This is one reason I feel that BP require more and more data. BP appear to be assessing Avacta against current chemotherapy treatments instead of taking into account its mode of operation. Hemo similarly has a novel (but different) technology and so I am expecting similar issues in acceptance. However given how the treatment works, I do not see the P1 clinical trials being drawn out over 5 years. But I could be wrong.

I have admitted that I am not a biochemist, so don’t come back on this post nitpicking my terminology when it’s pretty obvious overall what I am trying to to say.

I do read your science explanations. But as you know they are way beyond my comprehension.

Yes more than 80% of my portfolio is dividend targeted achieving average gains of 14% year on year for past 14 years. Small fry for the gamblers and traders on here I know, but my initial aim was preservation of capital rather than dreams of becoming a millionaire.

I am not comparing the likely success of HEMO vs AVCT. I was merely querying the apparent double standards in your assessments.

Regarding my investment strategy. I do like to spread my risk/reward. So I don’t see it as a choice between one cancer treatment or type of cancer and another. I’m invested in both.

Finally, I agree with you that it will likely take me longer to get a significant return from HEMO than from AVCT.

I have posted many times that right now the risk/reward balance is compelling. So certainly won’t be selling yet.

All I am saying is that time is running short to publish the excellent results we have been given to expect this year. If they materialise then we will probably exceed the broker target of 119p. If they don’t then the SP will take a significant hit.

I find it hard to understand your negativity here given your positivity over Avacta with far less justification. And also given that HEMO have a cancer cure whilst Avacta are killing tumours but more tumours could recur as in many patients after dox treatment.

We’ve had a director in place for many many months who is supposedly thrashing out deals We’ve been led to expect imminent deals. So I really can’t get excited about yet another conference.

Problem is for the next few years, selling at a higher SP is the only way we’ll get a decent return on our investments.
