But but but we cannot ignore the SP. Low SP means more shares have to be issued to meet any necessary funding. Which means our holding gets diluted.

Was thinking of buying a chunk today but decided to put in a gold ETC and await further news on Avacta.

Avacta’s market cap looks low relative to AVA6103’s theoretical potential because:

6103 is early and unproven in humans

Near-term funding risk is tangible

The platform has only one clinical validation

UK biotech markets are risk-averse

IO claims are no longer taken on faith

Or put more bluntly:

The upside is optionality.

The downside is arithmetic.

Markets price arithmetic first.

If AVA6103 delivers human immune-modulating data, that balance can change very quickly — but until then, the low valuation is not inconsistent with the information currently available.

There is absolutely no point in stating the facts. They have fallen in love with Avacta and they have so much invested they cannot bear the thought that they won’t get their money back.

As it happens I believe they (we) will but not for a while.

FWIW as part of my diversified portfolio I bought £10k of Avacta shares just over 5 years ago at the same time as I bought £10k of FTSE100 tracker shares. The former is worth about £5k, the latter is now £30k. But then I’m an investor not a punter just chasing quick wins.

We were led to believe that 6000 P1b would finish end of 25. So you don’t regard having to go an extra cycle as missing a target. Or all the talk of multiple events before end 25 as not materialising.

Anyhow at least some people on here are rooted in reality and believe CC when she says not to expect much before 2H26.
