Well sadly not a surprise, I nd others saw this coming. It’s just Solg being true to form and demonstrating yet again that they don’t have the knowledge, expertise or experience in house to go this alone. Worst part of it for me is the constant misleading of shareholders and the market to this point. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the new government take a more intrusive stance here. These licenses won’t last forever, and any government, assuming it’s supportive of extraction industry, will want to see more tangible progress towards production than Solgold have demonstrated to date. Don’t necessarily think it’s bad news, or the wrong thing to do, but it’s bad for me, and I suspect many other PI’s. Fully expect yet another raise at not too far north of 20p. Was rather hoping that we would be well beyond 30p when next dilution was required. Funnily enough though, I find myself more sanguine than angry. These are getting put away in the far corner of my SIPP and forgotten about, with thoughts of what might have been. The camper van will be a cheaper version of what I truly wanted, and any Ecuadorean bonanza will be enjoyed by my kids and grandkids. Unless there’s a takeout. Which I’d bet against right now.
