'Innocent' indeed - this is mass murder. I'm not sure 'brutal' is enough on it's own - 'vicious, barbaric, unforgivable' - we could go on and on.

Our World is going to be much changed with Russia as a pariah nation and following 'balmy' decades of cheap energy, ultra low interest rates and globalisation . . . . Ukraine is being destroyed and it'll take decades to put it back together. Seeing Ukrainian appeals for help such as 'no fly zones' is heartbreaking. The West rightly fear this would put a nuclear confrontation on the cards and then, all of Europe and the USA, might look like Kiev does now.

Nuclear deterrence is of no value in deterring other aggression, once one side has invoked the nuclear threat. Terrible days. ATB

So how is the recruitment going ? GBP 10 or 200 what does it matter ? The magic figure was 40 needed for the trial I believe. Personally, I would pay GBP 200 and get it done !

On a different tack, I hope 'recruitment' has livened up by now in RSA. I noted in the 'Notice' linked here last week, that participants 'would be reimbursed for their time and travel'.

There ARE plenty of Folks in RSA on low incomes and I would have thought the offer of say GBP1000 might have attracted interest. I hope that the BoD have been dynamic in 'progressing' this trial - the sums involved in pushing harder are tiny in the great scheme of things.

Llass/Cleaner - thanks. If Covidity generates good data, Scancell will get mentions then for sure. We need new generation vaccines not just with broader protection but to last for years not months.

Thanks for your reply Chippy - the danger would be IF the virus found a way to transmit to humans from the infected hosts - IMO that's unlikely to be via actually eating chicken etc. . . . I wouldn't lose any sleep about this but it is part of the picture - it's not all 'over'. So the need for a 'Universal vaccine' such as Covidity remains.

Yes thanks Berm and Ray. If the data is good then IMO there will be plenty of interest in Covidity and maybe for the wider Immunobody platform too . The pandemic may be resting atm but it's not over.

Annual 'flu jabs remain UK public health policy do they not ? So a final booster jab for Covid immunity would make good sense too.

I guess I'm not the only one feeling flattened and distressed by the 'crisis' in Europe, 2 years of the pandemic and now the SP having dropped - let's hope better times are ahead, on all fronts. GLA

I'm not a Dr JC addict but on 'aspiration', I tend to think JC has it right. More importantly, is this an unsung advantage of Pharmajet delivery? Is it even less likely that the vaccine would go direct into the blood stream i.e. into muscle tissue? To me, I would have thought so.

If the data from RSA is good then 'Covidity' will fit the bill - as in 'Biospace', 'proactive' protection against variants would be an amazing step forward, from 'whack a mole'.

It's amazing to me that BioNTech, Pfizer, Moderna and Co. are not crawling all over projects such as Scancell's. ATB and BFN
