Clare - in contrast to your faith, I worked as a volunteer in St Blazey, Cornwall at weekends for a year or two, (many years ago), with kids damaged for whatever reason, but some squarely attributed to the MMR vaccine.
That doesn't make me pro or anti-vax but I'm glad your experience was good.
IMO vaccines can be great or not, we have to decide. As you say, "Those of us who are not scientists have to place our trust in someone." But is that Pfizer or Moderna ?
As for your list of 'worthy bodies' whose advice might rule - well I'm just not sure about that to be frank.
