And it is a fair question to ask if we need border controls now, why did we not need them before, when apparently, too much virus in circulation was the reason NOT to have border controls ? If this is correct it is very concerning - 13 fatal side effects in a small Country like Norway ! I saw a report of this in the DT first but it quickly disappeared.

AB124 and Bermuda - thanks for making the point about 'pasting Inan' here. I was one of the first to 'have a go' when Inan took this last ban - however I was soon confounded by the time zones. I was glad recently to see Bunsie's new efforts made of course, with all good intentions.

Just MO and as a middle way, copying a link and occasionally some comment from Inan here, is surely perfectly OK, but when Inan posts and there is some disagreement, it becomes difficult.

As you say, those that want to follow Inan's comments in detail can go to ADVFN, (which can be a bit robust being unregulated), but I agree with Bermuda's 18.59, 'there are some good posters who post interesting views and useful research and if you can face it at some stage, it might be worth having a go at just reading the useful posts and filtering everything else'.

As mentioned, if Admin were to reinstate Inan, that would be the best solution. otherwise, we must all do as we see fit whilst maybe taking on board the issue raised by AB124 and Bermuda. GLA.

. . . . about time - the concept of border controls !! Up to 30 flights a day have been landing from the USA at LHR alone since the pandemic began, never mind Brazil, Mexico and all those other Nations with catastrophic levels of CV-19 infections. Is there a boarding requirement for PAX from all Nations to have a negative test now ? Will a negative test be replaced by a vax certificate as a boarding requirment in due course ? I hope so. Then, anti-vaxxers either get the jab or don't travel. Admittedly that impedes the freedoms of the anti-vax but more importantly, it restores freedom from the risk of infection, to other citizens.

Well yes but if SCIB1+ is able to make significant progress before the ICU situation for a SCIB 1 Combo trial is fully reconciled, then you might later decide to pass altogether on the latter, (given the expense and inconvenience of Ichor and the hazards of Keytruda).

But I was thinking more that, apart from Covidity, the first progress might be the launching of Moditope into trials on it's 4 targeted 4 cancers, as the Modi1 trials will not be restricted by requirements for ICU. Anyway, I'm convinced that with Vulpes and now Redmile providing momentum behind the scenes, we'll see changes and news before too long. ATB

Burble - yes I see that but as far as the planned SCIB1 Combo is concerned, the problem is the ICU beds. On that point, I reach a different conclusion as to the direction Scancell might go. It could mean a re-run for SCIB1 but without the CI and the need for the ICU beds. Or I'm wondering if it'll be a different focus and a wait for SCIB1 +, and all that involves.

Yes thanks for 08.27 Burble. The SCIB1 Combo may be be hard to get off the ground because it looks as if ICU is going to be busy, maybe for some months. At least when Modi1 is ready to go, that trial won't be limited by a need for ICU. That's a positive factor. And when, (I say when), CV-19 is brought under control, there will as we know be a backlog in cancer treatments with some Patients unfortunately having cancers that have advanced more than they would have otherwise, but perhaps that is likely to help in recruitment for trials ? Time for a self-iso beer. GLA

I'll take a punt on this - with the emergence of AvidiMab and the possibility of 'Immunobody +' format for SCIB1 and SCIB2, I wonder if the SCIB1 Combo and SCIB2 progress will be put on the backburner for a trial later in Immunobody + format ? Leaving Scancell to focus on and advance the Modi 1 trial with 4 (?) targets in this very difficult year for the NHS

Just had a message from a Friend whose Dad has died - he hadn't been out since March but was being visited twice weekly by medics. Her Mum at 90 and her Sister also had CV-19 but Mum fared much better - superfit Sis had never had Flu jabs . Is the suggestion that previous Flu jabs might help resistance to CV-19 correct ? Has anyone else come across that one ?
