Janssen = Belgian company Janssen is owned by pharma giant Johnson & Johnson, and is has developed a single dose vaccine. It has been authorised in the US for emergency use. The UK has ordered 30 million doses.
CureVac - Britain struck a deal with Curevac for a variant vaccine in February, saying the 50 million doses "will be delivered later this year if they are required".
GlaxoSmithKline / Sanofi Pasteur - Vaccine faced delays last year after interim trial results showed it was producing an “insufficient” immune response in the over-50s. It restarted trials last month, in the hope that it will be able to deliver vaccines later this year. Britain has ordered 60 million doses."

I don't follow Dr John closely but noticed this - notable authorities in Denmark suspect that the blood clot side effects from the vaccines may be resulting from an inadvertant injection into a vein rather than into the muscle tissue. The proposition is to 'aspirate' before delivering, to check that the vein has not been unknowingly entered. Looking through posts this morning, I noticed Cars' excellent find 16.04 which was well rec'd and worth another look. Hardly a media blitz these days - no echoes from the Mirror piece - but Scancell is out there. Nice to see and thanks.

Krafty - Thailand is open now if you can pay for 14 days policed quarantine in a range of Hotels and bring Insurance for $100,000 for CV-19. So it's closed atm for 99.99%. BUT, the pressure of almost zero foreign tourists for 1 year is building up and I can't see how they can resist the point that Vax tourists should be OK, particularly with a test before departure and another on arrival with a tracing AP. The penny hasn't dropped. Yet.

I did see the approval - quick change there LOL - the PM and some of his Cabinet have been AZ 'jabbed' today - it's reported. We'll see.
