Not sure why they have sold off. The big News event on Friday is Brexit. I can not se how it impacts on the mine development side. However the impact is unknown regarding Humberside development as we have no report which should examine that risk and that info not shared with us .

Need to allow that oil production from Jubilee is already declining from the rates drawn down earlier in the year. This may reduce the uplift in share price than expected. Secondly, Brexit and a USA stimulus package before 2021 matters. If its a no deal Brexit all of Europe are damaged not just UK. If USA stimulus lands in February significant damage happens in the USA economy. The macro issues can sometimes act as headwinds and these of course can change direction..

Expect serious buying if it goes near there. The second resistance line is at 93.8p expect traders to sell and off load around here. For info there is a first line resistance at 88.1p, but it may not hold.

Bull traps do happen on quite a few stocks so nothing strange about such phenomena. The motives behind it are numerous and it tests what percentage of investors panic and those who are calm. This in return reflects who is invested far more than they should in relation to risk tolerance and gives depth on the move. In the light of what many advertise here on these boards some fund or large investor had a go is one possibility.

The second option is that a predator company was pushing down the price and their shorts were shaken out by a friendly fire investor. The shorters using numerous trading outfits to disguise their position may have come back to have another go and the entity that piled in before might give them some more counter measures. (Unlikely)

Finally it just may be chart mechanics that boosted the share to 101p to set a top rail and we are setting up a pennant formation from the bottom rail at 77p and now rising and will trade within that pennant for the rest of this month as it gets narrower each day as the top end drops and the bottom end rises. A pennant usually begins to form and completes by a big news event.

So no its not suspicious at all stay calm. I believe we have a top and bottom in consolidation myself and the third event which is quite common on AIM stocks is going to now play out. If I am wrong than the other two must have happened.

He made £30,000 roughly on Shanta trades. Hopefully not a health issue.

Non Exec since July 2013. Age is 70 years old so could be preparing for retirement. Head of Audit committee. Accountant ex Deloitte.

Its not unreasonable to see Non Exec sells when hitting 70 years. For all we know he may be putting grandchildren through University or buying that retirement villa somewhere nice. I would not read anything into it especially if we hear that he is retiring from the board soon.

Support lines moved up 5p from 72p to 77p. If we stay in the 80's and then again push for 100p it will create a stable bullish position. The next pull back being another higher low.

The view from the Russian Central Bank today was that oil prices were to be capped at $50 per barrel and would trade between $45 and $50 for most of 2021. At least they did not expect another collapse. Reported on Bloomberg. Not sure what to make of that perspective.

The chart is ruling the roost as we hang around that 67-68p apex area. Another 3 /4days and we are deep inside a pennant formation.

Fair enough. I have bought a lot of Shanta lower down from placing price. Its just after placing, Barrick sold off fair enough, Odey off loading and now we have another big wad coming off possibly from somebody else. After awhile, I wonder if the other PM miners were a better bet as nobody appears to be dumping their stock except for HOC which I avoided.

Eventually forms a higher low and we begin a bull chart formation.

The last sentence you wrote Dib is spot on. Loads of people have stopped putting on masks and bothering with social distancing and more young people are copying Rita Ora with parties and ignoring self isolation rules and the reason is the vaccine has fixed it. Public messaging completely undermined by the BBC and others.

I can not understand why Shanta shares are getting sold with gold moving up $95 and the UK currency is being shoved down the toilet at the same time. I do not get it at all. Tony's rant over.

Well it sure may go down today by at least a penny. Keep some spare cash for the retreat and a bounce eventually back up again when its oversold is all I am suggesting and will do. Tullow should follow the oil price that is what it is now doing. I expect BP to do the same thing along with Exxon. The odd one out is Shell that is staying higher regardless which suggests more institutional buying hedge fund support perhaps on that particular equity stock.

Nothing out of the ordinary set this off The claim made on another board of a 250,000 buy was not substantiated unless it arrives in later days as a late trade. Only a dozen or so trades were above 5,000 shares all afternoon and other than UT all were less than 15,000 shares and several of those had no impact on the share price.
