No its not a danger to miss out on extra profits. Getting a top or a bottom is luck. Always have an exit strategy. Always have investment goals and targets. Always manage greed. Be happy with what you achieve and being in the percentage who gain from equity investing. Do not get in the mind set oh I could have made x or y extra and that somehow your a dummy. Quite often another opportunity has caught one's research and the next profit an interest area is somewhere else. Being married to an equity is rarely a good idea.

So Eric decides for once that he want to convert one of his assets (annual bonus for delivering an amazing year) into something that is really important for him. Luke Leslie decides likewise although extracts another million shares from the many millions he bought years ago as he will get those shares back next year anyway They do this after finding what is probably an estimated 500,000 new resource ounces of gold which is worth around £10M quid in valuation 3 days ago and that we have every chance of being nearly 100% up here ourselves in a year's time. I have owned aim shares where directors sold shares 48 hours before really bad news in an RNS and owed nothing when it became public and then had the audacity to say to brokers they were unaware of the bad news when they sold their stock. Eric and Luke are not in that bandits league. They could have sold six weeks ago before any drilling report for 3p higher and they didn't.

Correcting my facts after seeing the accounts.

Eric was paid $1M in 2020 and $850k to Leslie so they were not unpaid.
The shares they got in January were not bought but part what they got in bonus for last year's performance.

- My end takeaway is selling performance related shares is what a lot of company directors do. I remember Bristow doing it before Barrick to Randgold over. They have gained a lot from their sales. The third takeaway remains that they only sold after lots of good news so its ethically clean to sell when they did.

I certainly get it. President Magafuli who died a few days ago would have admired their spirit for taking payment in shares and were not piggies in the trough like Directors at Acacia is how he probably saw it. Hence why he respected Shanta. Lets now hope Eric and Leslie now get the VAT money back.

If they sold after a series of bad news it would look very unethical. The fact they took no pay for years and one Director bags £70,000 or so in profit from a £130,000 net sale as he took less from the company coffers than we have nothing to worry about. Hit the buy button on Monday and grab some discount shares.

So Eric has the same shares he held before the placing. The share he bought in January being similar to what he sold. Leslie collected £130,000 net from all his buying and selling since the placing. Both have a significant stake in the company. What bemuses me is why buy huge amounts of shares in January to sell them 2 months later.

I have stayed put with my holdings. Taking a much longer view.

The big companies being Gilead, Glaxosmithkline, AbbVie, Johnson and Johnson, Merck, Bristol Myers and Roche. I suspect Glaxosmithkline and Bristol Myers may take an interest in the Synairgen findings. The company that needs to make new acquisitions is Gilead but it might not be in lung anti-virals.

Yes it is possible to have false breakouts and a seller emerges to take advantage of a better price. The up trend has been tested several times since 9 March and there is clearly money and buying pressure for stock. Thus far any seller has found it easy on liquidity. When a pennant closes it suggest a sharp move in the stock. It can be up or down and hence why we ae looking at the momentum, slow stochastics and multiple chart time frames to see what the favoured probability may be. If the stock moves down in price, I intend to buy more shares myself and see it as an opportunity. Tony

We have an uptrend on the 5 hourly since 9 March. The uptrend hits 173p close of play today. A resistance line and top of the pennant is at 174.6p. Slow stochastics have sharply moved up this morning. The last two times this happened we got a spike to around 188p or so on a sudden breakout. The pennant looks as if it closes on Monday. The bollinger bands have reduced in previous days. We have an abundance of signals coming together but we are not expecting any news early next week.

One possibility is that Synairgen stock is being bought and the buyer may just pump the stock up and it retreats a day or two later and the pattern just repeats itself all over again or something new out there impacts Synairgen early next week. I am in the dark as everyone else. We have another resistance line at 179p.

That is correct $8M out of $10M is paid in April and it leave the rest for later in the year. The company tax rate last year was 48% plus royalties and so the reference to what Barrick agreed with Taz government already exists. The company is owed a huge amount of overpaid tax by the Government which equates to 1.5 years of profit.

Just under $10M according to 2020 annual report.

The issues to have in mind is that production grows 25% in 2022 and another 12% in 2023. That all warrants and other debt notes are being paid off this year that bear a 13.5% interest charge. That costs in production are likely to go down and only off set by completion of the Singuida mine and its initial stripping programme. Once these are complete after tax profits are 100% higher than in 2020 at $1500 gold price. This should translate to a share price above 23p and is 77% up from where we are now. I am doubtful of other miners delivering 77% late next year at $1500 gold prices. The following year in 2023 the share price grows to 30p through additional production growth. Its up to everyone to do their own research. As I retire from trading like activities I am keeping a couple of stocks as inflation protection on low bearing interest accounts and Shanta is one place I feel I can do it with a project I have visibility and understanding of.
