Decommissioning18 Aug 2022 16:10
Ignore - any posters that clearly don't know what they are talking about !!
Decommissioning liabilities is worth a look but I would remind fellow SH's of the following:
In Canada, i3e follow the government of Alberta’s Area-Based Closure program, which ensures i3e abandon between 4% and 7% of its inactive well stock every year, offsetting any potential huge decommissioning balloon at end of life. In addition as you may recall 6 months back - i3e offloaded about 50 low production and inactive wells to axiom energy reducing its decommissioning liability.
One of the advantages of having 22,000 boepd of low cost, low decline wells is that i3e's liabilities including Decommissioning are well covered. In fact i3e does not have any real liabilites other than decommissioning as it is net cash positive - so I only see a strong balance sheet with a dividend covered multiple time over.
