Hello Colour.. Yes and no (just like India) to your observations. They thought they had 100% solutions, now it appears like New Delhi that they did not. As with the currency, Rich People are always on the fiddle, it's a way of life from taxes upwards.
You remember saying they did not need Smart just basics in villages etc. Well these held back communities once they got a taste for the modern wanted more. To you it's a norm, to them it's unbelievable. Now the Government wants Smart with a few exceptions.
It's all about to happen so get in quick.

Morning Colour.. I think we will need to revisit situation in 6 months. That will be an indicator if GOI is going to have it's way as it did with the large currency changes.
Logically Generators and Utilities need to get out of debt. Energy needs to be more organised if commerce is to compete with the likes of China.
With Smart the meter manufacturers can obviously produce the digital meters so it is a matter of efficient Comms. If CC RF proves successful, now including Cellular, I do not think Intellismart will go elsewhere and possibly solely use CC. The result of that would be massive.

Hello Colour.. I do think that you are wrong, the population will not determine whether they pay for electricity and if Smart results in no continuous outages they will be pleased.
Nothing much has happened in the last year regarding government or commercial activities almost anywhere.
Apart from the fact that EESL was designed for bulk buy they still had to place orders with individual Utilities/States so it is going to be bity but overall will slowly build as more see their counterparts going into the black. If the contract that Hardman refers to of approx 10m units is already in progress, which it appears to be, then they must have met a roadblock that CC can fix, just a matter of tweaking it. Intellismart has previously wanted to know CC (remember roundtable which you poo pooed).
My feeling is that as long as they can satisfy the BOD then it is big time for CC. I seem to recall you commenting favourably about
Intellismart in connection with Trilliant.
Nobody has mentioned JC's comment that the problem area involves New Delhi which I thought was done and dusted.
I think I will increase my buys before it goes beyond reach, could just happen.

Morning Colour. Following INDORE I think we can safely say that most of the Utility/State buyers in India have viewed the setup and many will now want the advanced RF/Cellular CC combination, especially after seeing Intellismart's MOU and the OPEX finance.
I feel that JC was only using Pilot to indicate test as I have not seen pilot's run within existing full contracts before.
A bit like SMETS1 having to resolve a problem after contract start and typically UK creating an expensive DCC to solve it.
Intellismart want their problem solved and CC provides a low priced result and with CC RF already well proven it is probably a matter of modifying already installed Smart meters. With that dealt with I feel it's all systems go for us in India.

Thanks for that Colour, good to see EESL achieving.
Bodes well, EESL chose us to partner them for comms in Africa, Intellismart (part of EESL) chose us to partner them in India.
Hardman said of 10m unit contract Intellismart had currently running we could get 3m, not said lightly. I assume that is for difficult connections, if they are retrofitting CC into new installations they are probably reshaping their circuit boards.
Could get all 3m in lump order at possibly £60m. and possibly ASAP.

Colour did come back in and at the time of leaving I think a lot of us had similar thoughts.
My salvation is the averaging down, not a habit of mine, otherwise who knows.
Some lost a lot in early days probably because Cyan was playing with the big boys and costly R&D.
We now have light at end of tunnel and it is pretty bright at present.

You take the biscuit Colour, you ask a question get an adequate answer then ridicule the answer. HP said R&D stops if any other benefit claimed, I do not know, I take it you do, so what other backup could CC have claimed that did not stop R&D.

Colour it was quite obvious what HP was alluding to. We already have agreements with major suppliers in India but if you want to spread your wings you are going to have to engage with new multi nationals who will want more finance security.
What you cannot live with is that CC, whilst you have been moaning, has produce an RF/Cellular capability and so can meet all occasions and customers. You never mention these sort of things,
Also, an issue you made light of, is CC has now produced a internal Gateway for meters. Must be recent as they have not had a customer yet. Will be handy for them not to have to site them separately.

Quite right Colour, anybody who can should look at Presentation in full but don't bother with Bangladesh as there is enough going on elsewhere for CC, if it happens it happens.
Colour as I said I do not think the 3 major meter makers are going to worry about CC after having embedded them in their gear, if they needed to they could easily step in and buy CC, small price, to protect their interests. They together with Intellismart have at last got India underway Smartwise and they are not going to mess up now. The makers can set up deals, financially, make the meters and CC can now supply the paraphernalia (old word) right the way back to the Utilities Control Room and under any circumstances. What more could they want after seeing the great results in INDORE which the Indian Government are delighted with. As they say Colour you could not make that up. Pipelines must be on the way.
