Hello Pedro, thanks for information. If by chance the new Indian test concludes that week we may get up dates on the 37m unit contracts. If CC successful I think that there is a chance of an early 30p>40p>50p. Hopeful.

Well Colour, we have waited a long time for these coming few months.
Things never run smoothly with India.
I think we can look forward to CC getting a decent if not large part of current and future tenders being part of the 3 major MM's.
No longer a nothing company that you were inferring.
15% and possibly a lot more of 250m units (40m) is a good earner.
£1 - £2 SP still in sight, to me at least.

Well ITT.. Are we now back on the rise, I think we have bottomed out, the company situation has not changed, the 1m worth of contracts that we have are still progressing so we should be back into the lower 20p at least.
I feel we will get a reasonable amount of the 37m units that will be going through in coming months.
My mind goes back to INDORE where only RF was used and very successfully, praised by Utility and GoI, and now that the costs via OPEX are virtually nil then CC's fast installation and immediate cost savings must be a draw.

I think you then said you would bail out if it got to that.
You could do that now with an hansom profit but I do not think you will as you are waiting for the big time.

Well ITT.. It is as I have said before the zig-zag of the share chart. These 37m units talked about are new tenders, we have existing contracts totalling nearly 1m units already running. The frequent reference to the market does not hold with me, they are small transactions not 1m shares. Feels more like dealers trying to influence panic, they are getting the sales, small though they are. DYOR

Hi Colour, as Manuel would say 'you no listen'.
No I did not say every meter just Smart meters. I also said JC said he was pursuing licensing to MM's, in case you don't know that means letting that company produce your product upon payment. They do the works and take the risks, for a reduce payment to CC's (currently approx 1m unit = £20m)., they then use whatever suppliers like and they pay bill, so they can turn them out by the millions. A bit like BI who it looks like are struggling with the China problem, who knows. Remember, Is the penny dropping, given the right signings CC can meet all contracts.
I may have it wrong but I think that I am grasping the situation, I would buy some more CC's while you can Colour.
Forget all about your total dislike of JC/CC, Monday tomorrow, DYOR.

Thanks for your concern Colour.. all the recent posts are falling in line with my thoughts, not with yours I suspect.
Your reference to SMETS2, has absolutely no relevance to India but you had to mention it.
At this point all items have to be inside the box unless India recently changed to allow CC's Retrofit, so don't flog a dead horse. The embedded/integrated situation I think has been covered and from what I understand CC is now ENCASED at line level into modified meters, suggesting to me that all Genus etc smart meters will contain CC hard/software. I think that is fairly simple and would say to me that Genus offerings to the market of Smart would contain CC, at least that is my understanding what do you think. Extrapolate that to the other MM's on CC's list and the fact that the 3 majors alone at present have 50% of the general meter market, I think bodes well for CC, way beyond the 15% conservative JC view.
As ever DYOR only my thoughts.

Hello jake.. I think you are right regarding normal time lapse to contract, the difference in this case is it's India and also this is a pause in the tenders subject to a regulation. So may be the rest is done, being a year down the line. Should imagine any firm contract agreement would be known within 3 months.

Hello jake.. Not aware of any reference to CC RF not being able to fit inside the box, being able to was an early requirement of GoI as they probably wanted to prevent theft interference. Remember at that time we were discussing RETROFIT.
There was a reference to trying to fit Gateways inside the meter box which I think was achieved with 3 Phase.
From what I can make out the 3 major MM's accommodate CC RF or CC cellular at line production line stage, the line having been modified for this purpose. I should imagine CC would be the sole entity at this stage as say Genus would not want to pay out again plus time delay as CC fits their purpose exactly. Of course if licensing is involved with companies, as JC said at last presentation, I believe then the Manufacturer takes all the risk and sources the materials. It's that simple in explanation.
It is not like SMETS2 where module is added externally via TOP HAT system on top of meter on outside..

Hello jake , in terminology you may well be right being in the industry previously.
However as I understand it is not like any USB that you can plug into a slot as the meter has to be designed for it to take the hardware and software by the MM, each having separate requirements, hence the cost to them, however all 3 majors are on the CC list sent to me.
As this new test is coming to an end in March we should then know who is accepted, I think CC more than proved itself in INDORE which is an all RF set up and where I believe CC was the lead.

Hello jake.. Due to other things did not look back but asked CC.
Response when we say embedded we also mean integrated; which is what I considered the situation to be.
This integration embeds software/hardware into their meters at production line level.
This integration costs manufacturers money to implement.
They gave me a list of MM's Schneider (L+T), Genus, HPL and others.
Also I think JC recently mentioned licensing, so who knows. Licensing does not produce the same return per unit but you could sell 10 times the number without expense or associated headaches.

Why are you asking about embedded, a bit late, I have mentioned it many times.
JC referred to it in video's, you can always check it with him.
Do you think that it is not correct, would that make a difference to your opinion.

Hello LTI.. It is a pity that each time CC makes progress it is then up by new Indian regulations. However I think they are arriving at a situation where all parties are satisfied and want to push on. This latest requirement aims at a 99.5%+ service. CC can meet these standards and being embedded in the main manufacturers I am satisfied that they will get a much larger chunk of the market than 15%. Also watching out for update on Thailand.

Morning jake. Yes it was a statement that suited you, 16p a downer whereas 24p an upper. " That is how I've made money and got my holding". You said it. So it does not hurt to add a little negative comment to help SP down a bit.
The fact is whilst it takes a time to develop (India) each move CC is in its best position ever and waiting for volume orders.
Being embedded in the major manufacturers puts CC way above the opposition for outlets. S.Chari is no fool and would not be pumping money in if there was doubt.

That is strange jake, on 31st Dec SP was 24p. so don't claim any credit for that.
We have been told by GoI 37m units of contracts have been held up subject to testing. That is all contracts not just the ones for CC tendering.
In the meantime CC are progressing well with their existing contracts and income is improving so no relationship to previous times. CC have never been closer to volume orders than now.
On top of these we have Thailand where we have not heard anything detrimental.
We will hopefully get the MEA orders for their 4m customers as CC led the field in Comms and got their contract, if PEA show interest their customer base is 24m. So definitely not as previous dips. We are just waiting upon GoI with their drawn out procedures. Income is coming in and we have never been in a better trading position. DYOR Sorry champers it had to be said. Now is the time for jake to make his next buy.

Well Colour we have been told that India contracts are held until this new requirement check but should soon be underway. Jake not sure why SP drop, manipulation, telecoms index. I should imagine CC will give an update. January saw an income of £5m so there will probably be a similar amount before 31/3.
As CC is recognised for its Comms I expect them to get a good % of the 37m units to be announced shortly.
I should imagine licensing is difficult to negotiate but once agreed pays for itself.
